The Carpenter is not completely incorrect. Bookmakers make their money by evening out the bets that they take. Rigging the election by making bets is a bit of a stretch however. But I’m honestly not surprised that people are betting on Harris.
Democrats know a good bet when they see one.

Are you saying they rigging it as another one of his scams? Saltys insiders want to know.

No need to apologize. "Opinions are like assholes: everybody's got one, and everybody thinks theirs smells nicer than everyone else's"

With respect for all opinions here: I think a point may. have been missed. Political betters don't have an ax to grind. /they want to come out ahead.
s the Vegas money betting that Harris will become the next president? If that is the case (and I don't know the bet) then the smart money may know something that the Republicans should really pay attention to.
However, if the bet is tha tHarris will again be imposed on the Democrats by the power brokers on the progressive left, then that is a different thing from the Republican point of view.
That path has been followed before and everyone knows own where it goes.

Ummm . . . . It doesn't matter how much any of us think President Trump is a flawed man . . . .Trump can't run again whatever he or anyone else says or wishes for. . . . I just do not see any circumstance where that happens.
Whoever the Republicans n nominate, that pardon will look great next to Harris on a debate stage. Any high school debate nerd would.
The Republicans likely to be the nominee are JD Vance, Rubio and De Santis . . .there could be others, but they are the obvious candidates at this point.
My money is now, and will be, on any of them rather than Harris in November of 2028.

Dude. This thread is so old… I don’t think Harris is on anybody’s radar.

OK . . . So what is the money line on who the Democrats will nominate now?
What is not changed by time . . .President Trump still won't be able to run again and It is my assessment that anyone the Republicans do nominate will be able to out reason about anybody the Democrats run in a public debate.

Like Trump did before he was ousted in a landslide by out-reasoned voters?
Odd that you use that term, out-reason.
MAGAs don’t listen to reason. Maybe a better term would have been out-lie.

We all have options. Mine are that the prominent Democrat contenders for president in 2028 will be less able to present cogent and consistent positions than the prominent Republican contenders.
President Trump does not figure into that assessment. He cannot run agin and his health is failing.
Newsroom may be the most personable and articulate Democrat out there but he has made too many contradictory statements on recorded videos.Additionally, the dystopian condition of California will be difficult for him to distance himself from.
I am convinced that, given the Democrat and Republican front runners of 2026, and as long as the election does not take place in circumstances similar to 2020, there ill be a Republican President in the White House in 2028.

I can’t see Newsome getting the nomination, much less the Presidency. I could see Kelly or Shapiro, though.
I think the only way the GOP wins is similar to 2024….the Dems fuck it up with the wrong messenger for what they want to accomplish.
elg…..

That is if Trump doesn’t try to cancel the election.
He’s gonna try this year…and using lessons learned will use the SC to try even harder in 2028.
HE needs to go.
