Many subAMPS discourage female clients for this very reason.

At the end of the day, it’s all about who the shops target.

Some truly just want to be a L0 shop and they have nicer decor and market more to the females. I have been to several of these and the massages are fantastic. Have even received L1+ at one or two of these shops after multiple visits with the same therapist. A great example is the Thai shops…online booking, nice decor and impeccable cleanliness, and the manager speaks English.

Other shops want to be L0. But they don’t really gear themselves to that clientele. They start off with a basic interior, no real advertising (and if they do, they use some Chinese chap who lists them on Rubratings), no online booking, and the person answering the call barely speaks English. These shops start offering an expanded menu from months 2 onwards when they are not able to make rent.

The third shop is the one that wants to make a profit from day 1. They offer an expanded menu from the beginning and they don’t give a damn about how the shop looks. These are the shops where they will overbook and ask one client to wait while they run back to the other room to finish sucking off the other client. If you ever read a hiring ad for one of these shops, they will state that a therapist can easily earn $8k plus a month.

Type 1 successful and so is type 3. Type 2’s success is dependent on whether they can adapt.

This is so true - especially about the second type of L0. Most don’t have a clue about the terms of their lease agreement. And when they get into trouble financially they try to sell their business to some other Chinese buyer by claiming they have tons of repeat clients visiting their shop. I’ve seen the ads on the Chinese online listings trying to offload their places to other prospective Chinese buyers looking to get in on the rub and tug action.

Meanwhile the landlord is waiting for rent about to kick them out. And will have to allow subletting otherwise.

That’s why I prefer your example of the first type of massage business. Clean, comfortable and quiet and they know how to massage. Not cheap and run down like the third type where tons of walk-ins constantly disturb your massage by coming through the door where there’s no receptionist to keep your session from being interrupted. And not compromised like the second type.

All of the AMPs sell their shops when they get out, move or upgrade. These places go for anywhere from $50k - $100k just to let someone else come in and take over the shop/lease as is. But a good shop will net north of $500k year.

The last few L0 places I have been to in A-town within the last month were all short staffed. Could not see the regular staff I have seen for a year. Each time, the manager had to phone in someone to help. The last time that happened, afterwards the girl said “You’ve seen me before” and I asked where. She named all the places and they were all L1. There seems to be a lot of networking going on and a staff shortage. Not sure if that’s an uptick in business or just a labor shortage. But it has made my last few visits very interesting and/or surprising.

It’s a labor shortage, it’s hard for the girls to make money at the L1 shops. That’s why all the better looking girls are at the FS shops.

Yep, I always wondered what would happen if you went to a L1-3 AMP and they initiated the teasing (assault) then you suddenly said "WTF!" and stormed out threatening to contract LE. I have no idea what their response would be but it would be interesting.

If I am looking for a L0 massage, I am not contacting an AMP. Too many really good LMTs out there to risk having your back stood on incorrectly or something.
