Born and bred to be corrupt. That's why.

Should I blame him directly, or this piece of shit who hypnotized a lost generation? Fortunately I had a mind of my own having to raise myself.

California cowboy.

Sure.

He knows he has immunity. You give a crook like Trump immunity, he's going to do what he wants and as we've seen, he doesn't even bother to hide the fucked up corrupt shit he is doing. Why should he even bother?

Clinton and Obama did the same. Marc Rich for example, as well as some leftist domestic terrorists associated with the Marxist-Leninist FALN and the Weather Underground.

As to the rest of your post, which I didn't quote, yeah, Trump's in a league of his own.

Well there you go Eccieuser. Trump is a complete piker compared to LBJ. LBJ knew how to steal an election! He managed to best Coke Stevenson in 1948 with 202 votes that were reported late, all in the same handwriting. I think quite a few were dead people but may be mistaken about that.

You need to learn a few things from that Michael J. Fox character, like the way he truly cherished Ronald Reagan! (jk)

Don’t forget Nixon. There was a corrupt SOB. Colluding with the South Vietnamese to scuttle peace talks until after the election in 68. We might not know what happened for sure but it probably extended the war for another five years and resulted in many more dead and wounded.

Notes Indicate Nixon Interfered With 1968 Peace Talks

Documents from aide seem to confirm long-time speculation that Nixon tried to scuttle a Vietnam peace deal to help his presidential campaign.

In October 1968, during the Paris Peace Talks, the U.S. was ready to agree to cease bombing Hanoi, the capital of North Vietnam, in exchange for concessions that would halt the decades-long conflict which eventually killed an estmiated 58,000 American soldiers, 2 million Vietnamese civilians and 1.1 million North Vietnamese and Viet Cong combatants. But suddenly, the day before the 1968 presidential election, a close race between Hubert Humphrey and Richard Nixon, South Vietnam inexplicably walked away from the negotiating table. Direct U.S. military involvement in the war lasted another five years.

Wonder what kind of corruption will be revealed about Trump in fifty years?

No need to say just kidding. He was too "straight" for me.

I don't think there was so much corruption as Dumpster now, Dumpy just exacterbated it and now he can get away with murder. Saying as much.

And retards still want him in charge of actually executing the laws? How stupid can those idiots be?

Would it have made a difference TxDot? From the article,

While it’s likely that the revelation of Nixon’s involvement might have influenced the outcome of the 1968 American election, Jack Torry reports for Politico that the Paris Peace Talks were likely on the ropes before November 1968, and that the North Vietnamese were not serious about ending the war. Transcripts from the time show that South Vietnamese President Thieu was not willing to participate in talks that included the National Liberation Front, the communist party trying to overthrow the South Vietnam government.

Circling back to your theme, I don't think there's a common thread linking Nixon and Trump, that Republican politicians in particular are corrupt and hypocritical. Levianon's explanation is better IMO. Many politicians in both parties are corrupt, and most are hypocritical.

And yes, it would have been great if the USA had gotten out of Vietnam earlier, or had never been involved in the first place, except perhaps to shore up Thailand.

Politics is for the most part a criminal empire. So therefore, both Democrats and Republicans are recruited and controlled by the elitest that run the world. Trump has been the most hated president in history by both Democrats and Republicans but yet he still won in 2024, amazing.
