.................and hopefully those shitty days are behind us. Then again, it makes me wonder why a true American man would stand up for a pillow biting queer, and not for a medal of honor winner. That's one question I will never have to address.

Harvey Milk served in the military at a time when it was forbidden to homosexuals. In fact the only reason he resigned was because he was officially questioned about his sexual orientation. Both his parents served in the military.
He was the first openly gay politician to be elected in the united states. He was a school teacher.
What it comes down to is that he was a dedicated public servant who through his acceptance of his sexuality inspired and influenced the gay rights movement.
Just like the other names I listed, USNS Thurgood Marshall, USNS Ruth Bader Ginsburg, USNS Harriet Tubman, USNS Dolores Huerta, USNS Lucy Stone, USNS Cesar Chavez and USNS Medgar Evers, they all have had a role to play in the civil rights movement.
I don’t have a problem with naming a USNS vessel after any of them.

So what you’re saying is that true American men are homophobic bigots? Because that’s what it sounds like your saying.

What century are you from DEAR?
Why not cut to the chase and call a spade a spade here?
Homophobic hatred has no place in this forum and Shirley not on a sex forum, where sexual adventure is not only discussed but explored.
It’s been acknowledged that the most vocal and vitriolic homophobes are closeted and frustrated homosexuals. Based on your choice of language, maybe it’s time for self-assessment.

Cool! Just wanted to be sure you were all on record here about the "fags" thing.
Fucking amazing. On a board where thousands of people live parts of their lives outside of "normal" lifestyle...embrace alternative behaviors...
You would use that term. And support use of it.
(let the backpedaling and rationalization begin!)

Yeah, they will probably let it go, hope it just goes away. I am never surprised at the levels of intolerance and hypocrisy here.

Oops! I can't believe that I missed this one!
Others did not, and I appreciate calling it out.
I got a question though:
So lemme get this straight...it's okay for members here to fuck hookers? Maybe participate in or support some other behaviors that aren't exactly....mainstream. Or necessarily legal, for that matter.
But "standing up" for a "queer"?...
Uh uh.
THAT is not for American men!

Well, the next time you have some extra money in your pocket, do a search on some well hung dude, give him the envelope, bend over and spread um.
Now the time for some truth. At work one of my best male friends was gay, as was a female cousin. I rarely saw my cousin, but worked many days on my work truck with my gay friend and I was protective of him. People would talk about him, but they knew not to talk about him around me.
I didn't have much of a problem as they were both adults and had adult partners. It was more or less of a live and let live deal.
Now over the past few years, it's gay this, gay that, trannys in elementary school plays, pride flags in elementary schools and stuff all over the place. Teachers grooming children without their parents knowing. It went from something I could accept, to something being shoved down our throats, trying to normalize transgenders and gays, even reaching down to elementary schools to indoctrinate innocents into some sort of perverted world.
In my world, it is not normal. It could be accepted under certain circumstances, but not many.
Naming a United States naval ship for a gay, just because he's gay, while a true American hero doesn't have a ship named for him, isn't one of those forgivable circumstances.
A great decision for Hegseth, and the American people who are sick and tired of liberals attempting to normalize a perverted lifestyle.

I would not go so far as to call the whole LGBTQ+ folks perverted. I tend to settle for Not Normal.
But then, since my wife passed away over 25 years ago, I have been a whore chaser. How normal is that?

So does that mean you are OK with the sexual preferences of others?
I find it astounding how many posters here have an issue with ANYBODY's lifestyle choices, especially those that aren't illegal outside of Nevada.
But of course, that's kinda written on the doorposts of this here forum, aint it?

I have no idea what percentage of the population is gay. But they seem to have difficulty being accepted for what they are in many places.
I have met gay people and have gay friends.
But when I see a gay parade with thousands, I tend to think they are not normal.
I don't think it is suitable for military equipment to be named after gay people.

i don't care about the sexual preferences of anyone. i have two gay cousins. you miss the point. it's not about gay preferences.
it's about is simply being gay a valid reason for a Navy supply ship being named after Milk only because he was gay.
the answer is No.

Horse manure.
I think Hegseth has a creepy obsession with seamen.
Frankly I don't care what they call the vessel, but you don't to waste want your seamen on some unknown boat.
