The only thing illegal immigrants do is increase populism by census numbers but that takes 10 yrs to actually bring about any type of actionable numbers. They may create sway on opinions depending on numbers but usually negatively. They don't vote, they pay taxes on purchases and some even pay state taxes.

While the question is why have any open borders, is easy to answer. We always have and embraced those seeking asylum. Those who break laws to get here or have no path to citizenship will never become full citizens.

At the max, they can apply for some aid and some medical, or simply lie about their names and status... hospitals cannot deny service. Now as far as voting goes.. most states require you to be a citizen. In Pennsylvania, non-citizens are not permitted to vote in federal, state, and most local elections. Under both federal law...or you go to jail.

Some are included. The group GM is worried about wouldn't really be counted until 2030. So you're concerned about the big gains... in 2031 and beyond.

If they're legitimately illegal they have no path to citizenship and no legitimate ability to vote in federal elections.
