The slope is slippery here -and with AI , it's getting harder and harder to fake things like even video or audio, and of course some redacted fake reports are prob a dime a dozen.
If you want to punish people, my suggestion would to be first, do away with things like Pardon's. They only protect the guilty. And then compel ppl to subpoenas and if you don't respond, you go to jail for contempt immediately. No pass go and collect 200 dollars. Oh yeah, and if it's a congressional subpeona, you dont get to hide behind, "I cannot recollect" or pleading the 5th; and presidential immunity MUST have been something in writing and exercised at the a prior date while the executive is in office- along with declassification. Simply rules, that require compliance.
