CY2025 tariff collections:
Tariff revenues have been growing for months, and the latest data shows that the U.S. has collected $133.7 billion from them as of Aug. 21 2025.
OTOH
The federal government reported a deficit of $291 billion in July 2025, an increase of $47 billion from the $244 billion deficit recorded in July 2024.
So, all the tariff collections in 2025 are less than ONE MONTH's deficit.
