I enjoy it in the moment regardless of the level of L. A good sensual L1 with a lot of teasing and great technique makes my day. A lousy L3 with hot Asian also makes my day. My problem is that almost immediately following the visit I feel nothing. No euphoria, no excitement, no regret for cheating on my SO… just empty.

I go through the cycle of not ever doing this again to a short while later getting the itch and then pulling into a place to see what happens.

Meanwhile, I do love my wife, enjoy spending time with her, and the sex is still pretty good (after HRT on her). So, I have a moral dilemma… I know it is wrong. I don’t want to hurt her. I do t want to divorce for many reasons… but in the moment, I just don’t care or think about what might happen to my marriage.

It's some of both for sure. I know a lot of women I've been with in my life are very picky about what type of condoms are used, and I totally get that with various allergies and sensitivities and whatnot. So I defer to them on that choice.

Wow interesting. I'm the opposite. The perks of hobbying is that I can leave and I don't feel obligated to ever talk to her again if I don't want to. The old saying that "you're not paying for the sex, you're paying them to leave" rings so true. I do have regs that I go back to, but that's totally my choice and there's NSA. I can also see other ladies without ever feeling guilt.

For me, the free and casual nature of it all is what makes it enjoyable.

I still enjoy myself but I do have moments where I get bored of my rotation or lack of talent that fits my criteria. I used to have a few hobbyist that would see the same ladies as me since we had similar taste. My reviews have always been factual and I wrote them based off my experience. I always listed the good and the bad so other could make an informed decision before they booked and spent their hard earned money.

The key to me still enjoying this is variety in my rotation. Young vs old; different ethnicities, GFE vs PSE etc...

In the event that I just get bored here in DFW, I'll make a weekend trip to Austin or Houston. Drive down early AM--book an incall session on the way in. Grab lunch, check in at 3...book and outcall for 5. Go out to dinner and maybe book a late night 10pm session if i have the energy; or book another session the next morning on my way back to dallas.

If you are really struggling I suggest stepping outside of your comfort zone. Mix it up....we all have a "type". If you are only seeing blonde spinners, try seeing someone AA or a latina etc..

I agree with you, DFW, that having a variety in the rotation works best for me. I get bored easily, or maybe just take the situation for granted... one of the two for sure ... but I enjoy all the aspects of the hobby from the research associated with looking at all the pictures, and reading the reviews, wherein some are accurate, and others are not, making contact and seeing if there is a possibility of meeting someone who I might consider out of my league and would not dare to approach in a normal social environment. Judging the book by the cover is a very valuable lesson that I have learned over the years.... if you want to look at them, that's one thing, if you want to look at them, and get a certain level of satisfaction, that's another thing...I can say though with all of my travels, this hobby has been very enjoyable activity and I'll keep going along as I am able ...

Since1999 i been seeing a decline in service due to the young experience level knowing how to be a Girl Friend. i understand the first visit nerves but that is why i do a 90 minute meeting on the first time.
Here lately just seeing someone new is getting rough and up setting some times when the jump thru hoops get pushed too fast, like being drilled by the FBI, AKA Female Body Inspector. The FBI is not fun. We all have to be safe but take time for the 50 questions, mine are a open book on P4 but i understand and respect safety.

Oddly enough, when the economy tightens you start seeing people return to things they once stepped away from. I’ve noticed that some of the women who left the business back around 2010–2012 are starting to come back into it.

Don’t get me wrong — they’re still beautiful, capable, and impressive women. Life just has a way of making people reinvent themselves sometimes. In fact, many of them haven’t lost their beauty at all. Honestly, a lot of them seem even more attractive now than they were before. Time, experience, and confidence have a way of doing that.

Everyone has their own reasons for coming back, and most of them are valid. But when times get tough, people often return to what they know or what once worked for them. It’s just another reminder of how much the economy can shape personal decisions — and how people adapt when life pushes them in a new direction.

Some of the older providers have IOP that is off the charts. I actually feel they like fucking me. They may be great actors, but I appreciate it.


I do find I don't have any interest in 20 somethings any more.


Just no connection and not comfortable with them. I'm comfortable in mid 30's and up.


Been in the hobby a long time, I have stretches of back to back to back sessions and periods of nothing at all.


The hobby serves a purpose, but doesn't rule my world. There are still civilians to be had, but sometimes the dating world is more of pain.

Congrats Dallasdoc, you do know how to hobby. I have met Shea Veile and Stephanie Hepburn. You can't go wrong with girls like that. I agree with you the hobby does serve a purpose. Things have changed some. One can still have a good time. One has to do a little more homework.

Right now, I am having a good time. I only see someone with whom I really enjoy spending time, and occasionally visit new venues. Hopefully, if my preference no longer is available, a naughty favorite will see me. In the days of ASPD, too much trouble to provide references, and then some would still not see me.

So much has changed over the years in the hobby! I believe over the last 38 years I have changed more than the hobby! My wants and desires are extremely different than they were when I was younger!
