The insurance, big pharma, hospitals would NEVER allow it. It's the WHOLE system. From legal to healthcare practitioners, every cog in the "system" DO NOT WANT public healthcare. Healthcare consumers can't even agree on it either. It's got zero political will power or reality.
As someone who has experienced public health care in other counties, and regularly still use it abroad. We're far behind and doomed. You realize how terrible, expensive, inefficient it is here. The ONLY thing we're good at is highly specialized cases we do have the best people. But for "95%" of what is regularly done in healthcare other countries are simply just better.
