It's actually known as ESWL, or Extracorporial Shock Wave Lithotripsy. It's not a catch all for all types/locations of kidney stones, and it still hurts to piss out the fragments. I dealt with ESWL patients for four years.

Well after a 3 hour attack last night that ended around 3am, finally went to the Dr. Cute one too, :-) Got a little kidney stone cocktail of meds to try and knock this one out.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, royam. That's a discomfort like no other, to say the least. Sure hope the meds knock it out fast & safely. At least you got to see a cute doc, though I can't imagine she's as cute as Dr. Kaylen.
