Nice weapon, I assume 5.56, I have been going back and forth on caliber selection, for me 5.56 is just a little lite, 6.8 has limited ammo availability in an emergency situation, I.E. cant steal goverment ammo LOL, .308 is to heavy to carry all the time and kicks a bit in the AR format. I have been considering a 7.62 x 39 in an AR format, heavier round, more energy at impact, range is limited to 300 yards and under, but there will be a surplus of ammo, soo I dont know still undecided but would love to hear pro's and cons from gun savy board members.

I got a really cool zebra pattern clutch/wallet for my purse, a pair of Colin Stuart faux fur pom pom boots, time with my family, and then I bought myself my new urban rebounder and a new recumbent bike. During our Dirty Santa game, I won a Scentsy warmer and a bunch of Scentsy bars. I looooove Scentsy! I haven't been laid in a week, though. *sigh* lol

Really depends on your preference of what you want to use it for, target shooting, hunting??. Like you said, 7.62 x 39 you're limited on range, whereas the 308 is going to let you reach out and touch someone plus can take down just about everything out there, not that a well placed shot from anything else can't do the same. 5.56 or 223 are fun to shoot but not much for hunting. Just get one of each

Well I am planning to use it for fun, practice and Zombie invasions. I have a bolt tactical in .308 so if I need to reach out and touch someone I can. In most combat situations your not shooting much over 300 yards if that so the AK round will give me more knockdown out to 300 in the AR platform than a 5.56 or .223 So that is what I am leaning towards. DPMS is coming out with a new AR rifle in this caliber, I believe that H&K has one. I like Bushmasters because they have the 16 in bull barrels but I am not sure they have a flattop in this caliber. Decisions decision, I would by several but the wife and I have a deal, she can match my spending LOL.
