I prefer to roll around on top. I feel like I can see more and watch what is going on easier than underneath. Plus, I love getting hot and sweaty but under there, it gets a bit to much.

And there's a big difference between a motel and a hotel.
I only stay at 4 star hotels ~ just a preference.
However, I always ask for a new, fresh comforters as soon
I check in just to be on a safe side. You just never know. A friend of mine travels with her own sheets and all.

I remember watching one of those news shows in the evenings about a topic like this. It was quite disgusting. I even remember one time where the housekeeping were not cleaning out the glassware! I always go to a hotel/motel, whether it is a 3 star or a 5 star, thinking that the comforter is not clean.

I don't recall there being any sheets on the balcony.....but I think Ava is on to something here, lights on, on top of the sheets, in full view of the mirror(s)..... I paid for good seats, I want to see the whole game!!

I never did care for satin sheets. You slide off the bed easier, there's too much static electricity on my hair, and if your skin is too dry, it's an icky scratchy feeling. Plus, certain liquids might leave stain circles. Harder to get out. At least, that's what I would imaging seeing that when I spill pop or something on a satiny blouse, it leaves a ring.

The main problem under the sheets, besides sweating like a pig, is........when I slide down for DATY my feet get tangled up trying to kick the tucked in sheets out of the way. I got in a hurry one time and tore a big hole in them before they came untucked.
