Okay have a new Band I found. Plugged that Phoenix into my pandora, and found this:
Band: The Shins
Album: Wincing The Night Away
Song: Sleeping Lessons (Song starts out slow, Speeds up a lot mid way through.)
VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoNtI...eature=related

Lyrics:
THE SHINS LYRICS
"Sleeping Lessons"

Go without,
'Til the need seeps in,
You're low anymore,
Collect your novel petals for the stem,

And glow,
Glow,
Melt and flow,
Eviscerate your fragile frame,
And spill it out in the ragged floor,
A thousand different versions of yourself,

And if the old guard still offend,
They got nothing left on which you depend,
So enlist every ounce,
Of your bright blood,
And off with their heads,

Jump from a book,
You're not obliged to swallow anything you despise,
See, those unrepenting buzzards want your life,
And they got no right,
As sure as you have eyes,
They got no right,

Just put yourself in my new hooves,
And see that I do what I do,
Because the old guard still offend,
We got nothing left on which we depend,
So we waste every ounce,
Of your bright blood,
And off with their heads,

Jump from a book,
And you're not obliged,
To swallow anything that you despise

You can watch/listen to their videos on their webpage. Enjoy.
Check out 'Phantom Limb'. You'll like that tune.
Current TV had a video of them that was compiled from all of the footage from the audiences' cameras. But Current TV took it down (those bastards!) and I can't find it for you. Sorry, I tried.

Default Fun sound

For someone who once worked at a CD store, I'm severely out of the music loop...but These guys seem to have a nice, upbeat sound...If you haven't previously listened to Tegan and Sara...I think you may enjoy them, too...

Monger's got it right with Maiden. No matter what, I am always in the mood to listen to them. More often than not, its a bit more on the extreme side. I listen to a lot of Black Metal, sludgy stoner metal, and '77 style punk ala Leatherface. Some of the new jack "hardcore" bands I really get into as well. Its really just metal played by kids in basketball shorts and crew cuts, but thats ok. Some of the bands just make me want to burn the city to the ground, in a good way. A lot of the older hardcore punk I listen to hasnt aged real well due to the shitty recordings. Live, some of those bands bring the energy like no ones business! They just need to re-record. Apparently Negative Approache's reunion show in Boston was off the hook.

Thats all I got. I shall crawl back into my hole now...
