Hard to imagine Syria being that important to the Russians, unless, of course, they really did help Sadam move the WMD's they'd provided him with there before we invaded Iraq.

Who knows, this may just be cover for a big operation to finally remove these from the ME and cover up the fact they were ever there.

In any case. We have no dog in this fight. Israel will use nukes if they have to and everybody with half a brain (sorry to some of the lefties here) knows it.

Let them beat their chests and burn through several $M playing their war game. When they go home, nothing will have changed. The muzzies will still be killing each other and the only bad thing about it will be the lack of video feed to watch it.

The ship carrying the refurbished military helicopters turned around and is headed back to Russia. The British insurance company canceled their maritime insurance because of the arms embargo. How will the helicopters be shipped now?

And how will they ship all these troops, with Russian warships?

A commercial Dutch ship carrying Russian helicopters was turned around. This OP deals with Russian (and Chinese - another article) warships carrying troops.

OK I read the article. The link was so small I didn't see it at first glance. This wouldn't exactly be called a massive troop movement. They might just be rotating some troops home at the end of their tour of duty.

We have bases all over the world too; and we resupply them and rotate personnel, don't we?

There's to be a joint exercise: Iran, China and Russia. There are more than enough warships, aircraft and troops to put down the rebellion in Syria and/or nullify UN(US) sanctions against Syria.

Yes. China and Russia are doing in Syria what the U.S. didn't do in Egypt: support an ally.

That would be perfect. We don't have any interest in Syria. Thank God neither BushII or McCain is in charge, or we would already have American boots on the ground, and we would be adding more trillions to the national debt.

How many Americans care who rules Syria, or how many Muslims are killed by other Muslims there, or anywhere else in the Middle East?

Egypt is a great example; a little over a year later and they're getting ready to overthrow the military regime that replaced the dictator. It could get a little bloody, but wtf these are only Muslims. If they have no respect for human life, why should we allow one drop of human blood to be shed, or one penny added to the national debt, to prevent them killing one another?

You can take the boy outta the KGB, but you can’t take the KGB outta the boy.

Let the Russians have at it and thank you very much. It’s not our job to save the world. BTW, who knew the Russians had marines.

Ekim the Inbred, you've been challenged to prove the validity of your claims with citations supporting your POV. You have failed to do so because no such proof exist: that makes you a lying sack of shit.

That has to be a disgrace to all real Marines, living and dead.
