Reading through the replies thus far - my friend ABQ - has hit the proverbial nail on the head in his Post #8 above relating to "good and bad" days.....

In reality =====> you're just happy to wake-up and ready to accept whatever it is that God has in store for you this day!!

Pep, I remember how you looked when I dropped by, a day or two after the fundraiser, to deliver the wig that you'd left behind there: the chemo port in your inner forearm (with reddened skin around it), and your overall exhausted, haggard appearance.

I'm 99.9999999999% sure you're NOT faking it; and if you are, then I give you credit for going to some extreme, desperate lengths to do so!

If you are still receiving your cycles it is best not to get too riled up

Try some light physical activity (walking and such) to bolster your energy and mood. Lots of positive results with this.

You concentrate on your treatment, your surgery and your recovery. Those who know you understand and those who don't can go to hell!

Its not even the fact that it was said on the hooker board, it's just something fucked up to say, period. Like only someone who might fake their own kind of whatever would say that. I would never even think to think something like that of someone.

I really believe some people just do not know how to react to someone with cancer. Espeically on this board there can be a lot of negativity and people can be pessimistic. There can be assholes and biatches on both sides of the equation. To those that doubt you pepper I think if they had someone close that had cancer and what a person has to do in dealing with it they may have a different mind set or keep their damn mouth shut.

Just finding enough energy to crawl out of bed is not easy on most days. There are those that after being up aa few hours need to go back to bed.
Having true friends and a strong internal strength and willpower is what is needed and will help you more than you know.
I go back to what I said earlier there are some people that do not know how to react around someone with Cancer. Like if they get close they will catch it.

In the end only a person who has had cancer or sstill has it can truly and fully understand what another person with Cancer has to go through.

All i can say is I am so proud of you Pepper for your strength, that the tumor has gotten smaller and that you still have the same great personality that everyone loves. Keep it up and do take it one day at a time.
