Waitresses are great and if you have played it right with them... Funny,charming, and not cheap; you can get them OTC with just a dinner, no p4p required.

But to address the OPs question, sometimes you can make it work the first night but that really depends more of the girl. I recommend you expect to do a little leg work (go in more than once) and make it clear what you are looking for... Either you will like going to an SC or you won't. Either way happy hunting.
