This was his statement once he was HIV positive.

"I lived a permissive, fast and reckless lifestyle," the 27-year-old fighter said. "I hope I can serve as a warning that living this lifestyle can really lead to only one thing and that's misery.... I've never been so stupid in my life. I thought I was bulletproof, and I'm not."

Hey I am going to help you and post the rest of his comment and I will highlight for you the part where he denies homosexual type activites.

The reason this matters is when a celebrity lies about how they get an illness, and then mounts a propaganda program to prove he in fact does not have the illness and then promotes not taking medication because "AIDS does not come from HIV its all propaganda" and "its the medication they give you to treat you that makes you sick". People tend to listen when a celebrity makes stupid and ignorent remarks, people stopped taking their medications because they believed his crap. Thats why its important. Thats why lying about who you are and what you do is wrong. A quick review of google outlets will provide you with plenty of suport for what I say, check out the article in POS.com, where people admitted to stopping their medications. If you liked the guy, more power to you, you met him once so you know all about him. He was a prick who thought the world revolved around him, he couldnt pick a winner to save his life and was a pain in the ass to get money from when he owed you.

I don't know all about him. He was nice to me, I visited with him for about 20 minutes that's it. HIV can be contracted via hetero sex. So just because a person has HIV it doesn't mean they are gay or an iv drug user. We have such an unfounded bias against bisexual men in this country. It's cool for chicks to be bi, but bi men not so much. I was simply pointing out that if he was bi it doesn't detract from his accomplishments or the trajedy of his death; that's it.

Apparently, you cant read very well, where did I say because he had HIV he was Bi Sexual, IV Abuser and Degenerate gambler. I said he was those three things because he was, he was well known to have bi parties at his apartment in the Locarno building on the plaza, his tinkerbell room mate dave, used to get drunk and other things and tell everyone how he and Tommy fucked a lot and thats why Tommy bought him his new mustang. A business associate used to provide him with male strippers/escorts and another used to provide him with the stuff for his other vice. I would take his action on football and NCAA basketball. Thats how I know he was the 3 things I said he was. His HIV status was a result of his lifestyle and as I said he wasn't honest enough with the public regarding his lifestyle and while yes you can get HIV through Hetrosexual contact it is far less common and statistics will show that he more than likely contracted in through one of his other activities which are known to have a greater probability of transmission. And he was even more of an asshole when he continued to lie not only about how in contracted it, but that he contracted it at all, because of his celebrity he was given a platform to spread his bullshit and others suffered for it because believing the celebrity they discontinued their medical treatment as prescribed by their doctor.
