You forget that beacon of freedom. Saudi Arabia

It is a world wide commodity. Jesus
When demand is high and supply is short, gas prices will be high no matter where our oil is bought.

Here is a question for all you myth loving energy independent worshippers....

Should all the oil produced in this country be refined in this country and the gas only sold in this country?

What pisses me off is when people like Biden want to shut down the industry on federal leases in places like Wyoming, where people people overwhelmingly support the oil and gas industry and where many work in the oil patch. And when the Progressives want to shut down drilling everywhere.
I brought up Florida for two reasons...hypocrisy. Fucking GOP state wants drill baby drill...except in their state. And to ask Jackie S if he agreed on their exemption.

Not everyone in Wyoming or other states want drilling or pipelines run under their property. Why should say a Indian reservation be forced to have a pipeline placed on their land?

Federal land is not your land or my land, it is our land. Elections have consequences. Personally I'm not that keen on Spindletop 2.0 being next to Old Faithful.

But I'm a Realpolitik kinda guy and you can bet your ass that when our other energy sources dry up...surfers in Florida will be dodging oil rigs and your dream to dot our pristine federal landscape with oil rigs will come true.

They don't want to shovel $$$$ into R&D YET.
All about economics with a finite resource.
Let's burn it all up as soon as we can so people can move on from such pickaninny discussions.

I have a better question...

Should all the gas/hot air that comes out of WTF's mouth be contained and burned off here on eccie... or should it be released and allowed to pollute the rest of the world as well?

So let's sum up this thread - you support Putin 100% by opposing US energy independence. You want to suppress US oil & gas production in order to keep prices high and fill up Putin's war coffers. In short, you support policies that will help finance Putin's slaughter of Ukrainians!

And you do all that because it lines your pocketbook. So tell us - how much did Putin's war boost your portfolio today? Got any numbers? E.g. "My energy holdings were up another $100k today. Thanks, Vlad!"

And you have the fucking chutzpah to start a thread accusing OTHER posters of being Putin lovers?

I'm not opposing energy independence. Take the dick plugs out of your ears.

I realize our production in this country are market based not quota based.

Let me check...up around 25k today.

I bought energy back in 2020 and again in December...way before this invasion.

Are you one of those liberals that want to put a special tax on current oil profits.

You sound like a confused individual....are you wanting to come out of a closet?

Are you angry that you are confused about how energy transfers work

What is the problem you are having with oil companies making money?

Only 25k? That's unacceptable. You need to get on the phone with your hero Putin... tell him to increase his shelling of Kiev!

i wonder if his "oil profits" exceed the taxes he evaded paying mexicans under the table, and deducting the "cost" he claimed to have paid in cash for "day labor"

You mocked it. You ridiculed it. You pooh-poohed it. You complained about it. You derided anyone who supports it.

But you don't oppose it?

Even your best pal is laughing at that one!

The only thing you haven't done is define it! Because that would require a modicum of intellectual rigor which a simple-minded partisan hack like you lacks.

Why would any homebuilder pay anyone in cash off the books. That would just show up as profit when the house sold.

Your commenting on something you know nothing Davis highlighting your ignorance once again.
