[QUOTE=Tiny;1062789874]???? But we haven't had quotas to keep the price up for a long, long time. . OPEC and Russia do have quotas for that purpose though, which indirectly affect our production because they affect the price of oil/QUOTE]

Let's try now and put all this together.
Our production is driven by price , the greenies have very little actual influence over our overall production but OPEC and Russia do much more so by their ability to coordinate their oil production.
To recap...Russia and OPEC have much more to say on our production levels than any President or greenies.
Yet Russian disinformation spread on social media could lead some of you to believe the opposite is true.
Like I said...energy independence means something different viewed under that light.

What don't I get Einstein?
That Russian+OPEC production quotas have more impact on the price and production of oil in this country than any green new deal?
You think I do not get that?
Because it is exactly why I've said energy independence does not have the meaning you and others think.
Maybe the economist can explain to the oil expert or vice versa what the below posts means. He hit the nail on the head...

Look, Tiny may fall for your " lustylad can prove he is a straight great economist by sucking our dicks" bullshit but I can see through to your partisan parroting.

On January 19th, 2021 the US was a net exporter of Energy. By the end of January 20th, 2021 (~8:00 PM EST) the Us was no longer a net exporter.
What COULD HAVE HAPPENED eh?

U.S. Energy Information Agency: “Following its historic shift to being a net exporter of petroleum in 2020, the United States continued to export more petroleum (which includes crude oil, refined petroleum products, and other liquids) than it imported in 2021.

Is there a correlation between your dick-sucking fantasies and your inability to understand basic economics? Funny how I missed that.
Ok, now I get it... every time you're supposed to be doing your homework, you cruise gay porn sites instead. No wonder you keep flunking Econ 101!

Come on, man! The DNC doesn't pay you to post stuff directly from their website! Any fucking robot can do that! You're supposed to promote all their talking points without revealing where they come from! You don't want everyone to find out you're just a partisan hack, do you?

Seems the Russians enjoy a decent level of energy independence thanks to playing a good game of Death to the Petro-Dollar
Balls. Meet vice.
BOOM! Russia Now Demands Europe to Pay for Their Gas in Rubles
Joe Biden and the EU are playing checkers and Putin and Russia are playing chess.
Putin on Wednesday responded to the economic sanctions from the US and the West. Russia will now demand that unfriendly nations pay for their much-needed gas in rubles.
Europe gets 40% of its gas supply from Russia. Look for gas prices to surge.
it appears Joe Biden’s mission to kill the US Petrodollar is nearly complete.
Via Richard Medhurst: This rule applies to all “unfriendly” nations. Russia published a list of 48 “unfriendly” states a few weeks ago which includes the EU, U.S., Japan, Switzerland and Norway. (These are generally countries that have sanctioned Russia in the last weeks).
European gas prices raised as much as 21% in Amsterdam following the news...
Remember, the EU, writ large - has gone all-in the greenie energy hole with windmills that froze up in winter and solar panels that don't handle long dark and cloudy days. Not mention their plans to deactivate their nuclear generation.
Probably the only open question here is: Will Putin write a good ROS on his review of getting "Greek" from the EU in the review sections here?

You're supposed to counter with facts showing that we weren't energy independent in 2021...those that try and shoot the messenger are usually lacking substance.
Besides, I'm actually trying to save Tiny from Stockholm Syndrome from your grasp. You have him believing that the price and production is influenced more by AOC than a OPEC and Russia.

It is being reported out of the NATO meetings that France is still doing business in Russia that far exceeds those that are energy related.
Millions more to feed Putin’s war machine, which in case it has slipped every bodies mind, is still being used to slaughter Ukrainians.

You ignorance on what Putin has really done.
He has woken up these idiots that thought green was just a step away and weren't planning correctly on how to bridge that long long gap.
In other words...Putin has put Nuclear, fracking and all other options BACK ON THE TABLE.
This is going to go horribly wrong for Putin.

Well at least you aren't still accusing those that hate Putin as being in bed with him. That's progress

Handicapping the race
Which horse you betting on?
- The Spigot, where you turn the tap on and viola! Fuel-a-plenty.
- The Old Grey Mare, where you have to build a nuke plant (6-7 years) or the fracking in what soil? Would that be in Germany? Maybe Austria? How much oil exploration has the EU done in recent memory? The greenies gonna allow that?
- The Dark Horse, Saudi Arabia. Either way they purchase the fuel it will have to be paid in Rubles most likely.
But yeah, you are correct - the greenies were dreaming. Time to wake up. They just got schooled, because if you think energy just materializes by wishing, you need to learn how to go fishing.
