Why not just say what everyone says nowadays? Reparations are for black people, regardless of their family history. Talk of reparations does not center on reparations for slavery.

African-Americans must prove their slave lineage and sign off on the disavowal of future affirmative action benefits.

Again, the Indians are covered by the reservation lands. To improve their value and make everyone happy, I propose the legalization of prostitution on Indian lands.

Mixed race get proportional treatment.

Your reparations program would be ridiculously inflationary and destabilize the economy for many years, and, as COG noted, there would be those who would continue to agitate that it is not enough. Plus, the Irish and other white ethnicity groups were shipped here as slaves in great numbers:

Indentured servitude is not the same as slavery, in an ideal world.

COG is no doubt correct about the inflationary effects, but so what? Buy gold and real estate and you are hedged.

Indentured servitude was the equivalent of slavery when the master could extend the term of service for what he deemed egregious infractions of rules he set. And inmates from the British prison system were sold not as indentured servants but as actual slaves; so, do some reading before you disregard the legitimate claims of the descendants of Irish slaves.

Australia went through decades of fretting about the convicts left in Australia to fend for themselves and who were treated as "no class" people for years. At some point the ancestors of the prisoners began to realize they were "special" and had survived against "all odds" .... it became a badge of courage and respect, politically and socially.

I suppose it "depends" on how one perceives their plight in life!
