Need Photos?

Several providers use my photos but my name/watermark aren't associated with them to protect my H.S. Seniors and other business interests... I prefer using an upscale hotel for provider shots but I've carried my backdrops, stands, lights and etc to in calls as well.

Gear isn't as important as people make it out to be but it does matter to a point. I use a Canon 5DMkII and Elinchrom lights with soft boxes. I can bring a beauty dish and other modifiers but I find the providers generally want nice but not too damn expensive so I try to keep it simple.

Thinwhiteduke - I like the photos that you took, more than the photoshopped ones. I need some new photos since my look has changed a little, but I need to decide on a haircolor first.lol. Seriosly, I'd like to have some photos that feature me and my incall. And you could experiment with lighting. The candlelit atmosphere that I create is a hard one to capture, but we could try. Ladies, I also do pictures and would love to practice with you. I don't want any rights to the pics and will even give them to you on a thumb drive the day of the shoot if you like. Or, if I can take them with me I will clean them up just a touch and then give you both the originals and the edited ones so you can choose to use whichever you like.

I shoot mostly using natural like so I won't be bringing a bulky lighting rig and drawing attention to myself.

duke, these pics are better than the first ones, but...having said that...

be careful who you listen to about the quality of your images. if their taste in photography is unsophisticated, and they tell you your work is either bad or good...well, you get the idea.

there have been some pieces of technical advice given here that, while well meaning, are either incomplete or just not true.

if you want to learn a lot about technique, spend time on places like pixtus or fred miranda. the resources are unlimited!

Does moving this thread to here make the OP a professional photographer?

I do like his photos. Probably more because I think I am seeing a real lady and not the results of extreme photoshop/glamour photography.

Thanks John ill check them out! Tigercat- good question! I've seen people say you're a professional photographer when you get paid for taking pictures. I don't know if I would completely agree with that!

I have to second that, a noticeable improvement from the first batch! Not that the first batch was terrible.. Just goes to show you that when people give honest feedback, it really does pay to keep an open mind and take notes.. Gotta luv this board ;-) Good job, TWD!
