The infection fatality ratio (IFR) is around 0.75%. Multiply .0075 times the population and you get 2.5 million deaths. If you want something to anchor that 0.75% to, look at Peru. There 0.6% of the population has died of COVID so far. Yeah their hospitals aren't as good, but they're younger than we are and not as fat.
