Rochester What Have I Done Wrong????

Every one makes valid points here... but I don't agree that her prices are too high. Absolutely the economy sucks. However, Rochester providers in general offer the lowest rates that I've found anywhere. Gabrielle's rates I think are fair though I've never met her to judge her level of service. This really isn't a Walmart roll-back here. What do touring providers charge when they come to town? Usually more.
She's well established and maybe that's the problem. Many guys are what I like to call the "Ponce de Leon of Pussy"- looking for that new GFE provider, and some guys like to have regulars. My suggestion... tour a bit. Love to have you in my location.

You assume she has (priced herself out of the market), and while it's possible she has, i doubt it. Her pricing is no different now than it was 3 months ago (if anything, her price has gone down). One bad week is hardly indicative of suddenly "being priced out of the market". Especially when she is right in the midst of what the upper echelon girls in the market are charging; one of whom, as i understand it, is booking over 2 weeks out at times. It's not as if she's charging $400/hr.

As DT pointed out, of course business would pick up for her if she dropped her rate. But that's always been the case. Looking at it from the girl's perspective, i accept that they need to charge whatever fee they need to feel this is a worthwhile endeavor for them. And she has not only a right to look at it from the angle of maximizing her overall income, but also from the angle of what she would feel is necessary to get her through each individual appointment. I can very easily see a girl thinking that offering these sorts of services is not worth it if she can't get at least $200 or $250/hr - no matter what the market says she should charge - even if she needs to take fewer appointments for it. And maybe even make less money overall because of it.

If you think otherwise, simply go walk around your nearest mall for an hour. Then imagine having to sleep with any women you see who could provide you with 2 references. How much would you need to charge to make that worth your while?

1) Actually I was not really commenting about her rate at all. I was in fact commenting about the fervor everyone has shown, to make their suggestions concerning her rates with the oh-so-utmost delicacy. Which is pretty hilarious.

However, if you're going to misquote me and then tell me what I'm assuming, please let me point out also

2) "Is priced out of the market" is neither what I meant, nor what I actually said. I believe "may be priced above the market", which is what I said, is a in fact a reasonable description of the gap between $250/hr and $220/hr—which is what I see as the "market rate" in the area.

If you feel you need to take the time to point out the distinction between "priced out of the market" and "may be priced above the market", fine, have at it.

If you don't think the economy is bad....here is a stat that will blow you away...as per CNN...85% of all college graduates next spring will be home living with their parents after graduation. Think about that...you pay $100k for an education...and you end up in your parent's basement jerking off all day (with a $200k bill to pay off). (at least I didn't have a loan to pay back, but almost went blind as a result)

The economy sucks....I have cut way back on lobbying...(mostly because I bought a gorgeous new 2011 Camaro SS)...and "she" gets all my attention now....but seriously...things are rough, and even those like myself who are not directly affected, you never know what the future holds...so I tend to save a lot more than I used to.
