I don't Have a problem with guns. the world is becoming a dangerous place, and you never know when some lunatic is going to pull one out, but more often then not i questions why friends are packing. "Got my .38 on me." we are at a movie theater in Sugar Land at noon in the middle of the week. Who is going to rob us?? But like i said people are nuts so i understand why some people feel the need to pack heat. I pray for those harmed in Oregon. I believe in the 2nd amendment, im not jumping on the bandwagon to outlaw guns. That's a poor thought out movement made under emotional duress but i don't think that people need be packing 24/7. I understand the need, but don;t think it's necessary.

Hope it wasn't the AMC 24...if it was, he was committing a Class A misdemeanor...

If a hobbyist did bring a weapon into a session, the provider should not be aware of it (CCL rules . . .right?).

I would expect the same from a provider.

Statements like "Got my 38 on me . . ." serve no useful purpose and reveal that why the gun is carried may not have that much to do with protection.

That's usually when accidents happen.
What if you're just paying for the person's time & sex is just a mutually beneficial result of get together?

I've had gentlemen who where carrying visit me. They all made it known but the gun was never out in my presence or put anywhere that made me feel in danger. I believe in the right to bear arms and lets face it, we live in Texas. I believe providers should also protect themselves in some way.

If it's not posted correctly you may ignore those signs.
Did they get it right?

Oh yeah they did. They used to have a cute little gun silhouette with a red circle and slash across it, and I walked by that thing twice. Took them two years after the Colorado thing, but they changed it, and put up the 30.06 signs with the correct coloring, size, and location. I had to walk back to my friend's car and lock it up. Took Regal/Edwards Cinemas three years, but they just did it too, at both cinemas I used to frequent. Now, I just wait for On Demand...

But hey, if they took them down, more power to them...

I love this rationale. Of course they have a problem with the ones who go through the proper channels and abide by the laws to properly carry a firearm to decrease the possibility of a shootout in their cinema.

I would disagree that carrying a concealed firearm decreases the possibility of a shootout in their cinema. It actually increases the likelihood of a shootout with other civilians, and now both sides are completely and totally inexperienced combat shooters, not just the perpetrator, when they engage the SWAT team...

These perpetrators don't think about the deterrence aspect of concealed carry licensees when they commit their crimes...nor should they realistically do so...

I carry, responsibly...99% of licensees do not...they're cowboys...more likely to injure themselves or others rather than the perpetrator...
