While Clinton's large tax increase produced a budget surplus in the years of Clinton's second term, he by no means erased the debt. the debt was 4 trillion when Clinton took office, about 5.6 trillion when he left. his largest surplus was about 86 billion if you don't include social security. a drop in the bucket to 5.6 trillion and not even close to providing a real surplus i.e. no debt. dummy.

no, we shouldn't have invaded Iraq. Not for the reasons we claimed at least. WMD's or not, Iraq had no role in 9/11 so what was the point other than the Country wanted a strong response to 9/11. So GW did exactly that. Remember Congress approved invading Iraq. No mass protests in the streets either. Where was the outrage gooberhead?

It was on Obama's watch we left Iraq vulnerable when we pulled out. we could have kept forces in the area like in Saudi Arabia (the real source of 9/11) and other bases not actually in Iraq. We'd be ready to protect Iraq if needed but that didn't happen. Obama made a bigger blunder there than GW did by invading.
