Another thought ....guys, if you want to use someone as a reference ask them...AND ask how the other women should contact them, i.e. call, text, e-mail, PM etc. I have one ref that PMs work the best, another texting to her phone is best.

I made the same error quite awhile back, gave a provider's name as a reference without asking her first. I just assumed she would vouch for me, no such luck, lesson learned.

There was a time when the reference system worked. In the last couple yrs I have found MANY ladies & gents have found ways to manipulate the whole system for personal gain or to feed their drama addiction. It's been proven undesireabLEs can get through the ref system too. I also noticed name changes are leaked this way.

Thats all I have to say about that.

2 of my bestest friends in the world are providers - So of course I LOVE IT when gentlemen have seen them before because its easy for me to get a prompt and TRUTHFUL reference back.

There have been times when I would check a reference on a gent, and the lady would tell me "Oh yes, he is a super nice guy. Hes a younger asian guy & totally cool". Then they show up and they are an older white gentlemen. So of course I make a mental note to take her references with a grain of salt. Not that I think she meant any ill will, but perhaps her memory is just off and that I need to check with another ref.

I will NOT whatsoever, give a reference unless I can 100% remember who the person is. If its vague in my mind, I will let the lady know that so she can decide on her own discretion whether or not to check with another provider that may remember him better.

No, that is my business and I never tell a client that is why I cannot see him (b/c of his poor and inadequate refs.) I just pass and either day I am booked, not working that week, Aunt Flo is in, we probably wont be a good match for a visit- or otherwise. Sometimes, I will just say I cannot accept those refs and that is it. Never had to explain why, what, where, when or How and really I shouldnt and Do not have to. It is no ones business anyway. The point is made that I just wont see that and again that is my choice and right to refuse if I wish.

I wonder item 2 because as I am getting back into the game more frequently I am waiting for the text back "well if you have seen her you are never seeing me" when I had no idea that would be the case. I also was in chat and got on a will not see list cause I said hi to the wrong lady when she entered the room. That has since been cleared up, but has me wondering....

These are my personal preferences and the way I would conduct my checks and business. All honest answers. Good Luck to you! --- KKA

if weve met, hung out, spoke via phone, etc. your ref is as good as gold to me.
i just started to list names bc i thought thats what was asked.."who"..

Wow, didn't check the board this weekend and there are a lot great responses. I tried to put the questions out with out much background as I wanted these unbiased answers.

I was chatting with a guy a couple weeks ago who was looking for some validation that the girl he was seening wasn't going to do him wrong. He commented that he actually wanted to see someone else but she had a firm reference policy. She told him that if he saw a certain provider it would be enough so he could see her. That got me thinking about the reference thing. I had been out of the indy provider scene except for travel for about 2 years. So I was out looking for references again. I got lucky that the newbie friendly provider I saw was respected enough to get me visits with a couple of more great providers. She herself was a great visit and I will be seeing her again.

I also started wondering about some of the things that were brought up here. There are a couple of providers or new BP girls that finally found us that from some reviews and other posts, I would assume would not be beneficial as a reference.

Thank you for the candid and honest replys. I really didn't want any drama, just an open and meaningful conversation.

it has always been a issue very few provider will give ref and if they do its to slect few
