I hear that. I had to file for bankruptcy years ago because I mismanaged my CC on normal things. I shudder to think what would happen if I had one devoted to nothing but hobbying.

I don't accept CC but if I trust someone I'll let them pay with gift card (which can be bought with CC) or by putting money on my account at the spa or something. Can always buy me a purse/iPad/etc.

I accept PayPal/google wallet or something similar on very rare occasions. And there are a handful of clients I would trust to pay me back later if they didn't have the money upfront for an appointment.

Goes both ways. I've had clients prepay for a variety of reasons as well. Trust is paramount in these situations.

I would end up with 53 credit cards, all maxed out lol.....

One of the earlier posters said it best....if I'm not low on extra cash hanging around, then I would hobby but I've gotta be absolutely sure I'm not spending it just to spend it. My credit was squat years ago and I've worked very hard to get it to where I am able to buy a car, or new furniture, or a house if I so choose, I couldn't say that even five years ago.
