My advice (that nobody asked for) is to post an ISO with the rate you are comfortable with. If a provider wants to see you at that rate then she can contact you. It will be her choice whether or not to contact you and you don't have to say anything about rates. It can be a win-win and nobody has to talk to anybody about lowering rates, etc.
Then there is the old tried and true (AMPs) for 140\200 and that hasn't changed in 15 years.

Just to add my 2 cents although I have never discussed this with a provider, but a higher rate can also serve as a barrier. Maybe she is not interested in 6x$200 = $1200 a day and is content with 2x$400 = $800 a day, or whatever. Simple economics of supply and demand.

I know what I can afford and if their price meets my budget I may see them. If they are out of my price range then like any car, house, etc that is out of my budget will need to look elsewhere.

Bottom line what these ladies do is not easy and whatever their rates or whatever I appreciate them because I recognize we all have a choice.
