The Syria Mosque! A landmark that is no longer around, nor are many of the musicians I saw play there [ie Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, and the entirety of Emerson Lake and Powell]

All the bars of Oakland in the 80’s!
Calico’s
Zelda’s - green beer in June and nickel drafts on Wednesdays
Peter’s Pub
Hemingway’s
The Decade
The Sod
CJ Barney’s

GREAT TIMES!
Oh, and Summertime, not a bar, but yea, need to mention Summertime

... Thanks, mate.

Sorry I didn't get-back to Devo sooner, but I had to
check on things... Frank Gustine's was a Pub-restaurant
near Forbes Field... Where the "in-crowd" of sports
people would go before and after the games there.

Surely believe THAT might be the place Devo was thinking-of.

Yes indeed, that was what I was thinking of. Used to be a whole bunch of smaller places in that area, I was pissed when Pitt wanted to take over that area.

I remember another place called Alexander Graham Bell's, and it was a bar that had little phones on each table with a number and you could call to that table to meet people. It was weird and nitchy but it was fun at the same time

... Too right, mate.

One o' me "Pittsburgh Insiders" mentioned Hemmingway's
and Alexander Graham Bell's joint... I didn't know
they had phones like that...

... I was also told to mention Isaly's and place
called Magic Mushrooms... and the Pancake House.
In the South hills of the city.

... Ok... two final ones from me... Sporting places.
... Islamic Grotto - somewhere by the North side's stadiums.
And Duquesne Gardens - where they had hockey matches
with the Hornets - who were before the Pens.
