Yes, and stretching a bit, I think that FDR cut a wide swath in society before he got Polio.

For me then, the takeaway from this thread is that whether or not a President has been faithful, a gadabout or an outright rapist does not impact their ability to be a really great president of one of the worst ones ever.

So essentially you think that morals aside, anybody can be president? Liars rapist and sexual assaulters should be given a pass?

What I am saying is that the historical record shows that some pretty a-moral (or imoral if you prefer) men have become president and managed to be effective world leaders despite their character flaws.

I am convinced that ythe converse is also true; that some presidents, while fait6hful and/or faith-based men, didn't quite make it as national executive or leader of the free world.

So men of morals are soft and poor leaders right?

If you're looking for a-moral strong leaders, most of the Charlie Manson's out there are locked up! (Of course there are still some that are floating around - and some facing for indictments in 90 plus felonies). The vast majority of leadership in public businesses, are not a-social law breakers. They are typical narcissists who see only through a singular lens, but there are also ppl who gain consensus through bringing sides together w mediation and dialogue. That has left Congress. If you're not alarmed by that, you should be. It's the biggest failure of the people that have been elected into these offices. When we start holding people accountable on both sides, that's when things will start to improve. Electing either of the dumbasses running right now won't do that.

The "identify" game...

Te𝕏asLindsay™
@TexasLindsay_
UNBELIEVABLE—SDNY Judge Lewis Kaplan who infamously dismissed Prince Andrew's s•xual assault claims made by one of Jeffery Epstein’s human tr•fficking victims—is the SAME judge that presided over E. Jean Carrol vs. Trump’s defamation case—as well as the now infamous SBF/FTX trial.

Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan was also appointed by Bill Clinton.

... Blimey! ... Surely would seem by yer posts there, Red
- that you believe that Judge Kaplan is corrupt.

... No doubt - IF that is the case - Kaplan will be probed
come next year. ... .... Then, we'll know for sure.

Appears that the E Jean Carrol case just got closer to being through the final stages of Trump appeals. Apellate court has not allowed for a new trial, and so the verdict of sexual assault and further damages are at the crest of being affirmed. $88.3 million in damages awarded to Carroll.

Last stop SCOTUS, but I would bet they will not even hear this regardless of Trump's political Kabuki shenanigans. What's really sad is how this normally would have been a big verdict against Trump, but he's been on the grift for so long and hard, this is likely pocket change. I mean selling Bibles, mean coins, and sneakers likely lines a pretty good amount of money in his pocket let alone with the Saudis I've given him directly or indirectly in cryptocurrency.

Just think if Trump had in one is actually might be one of those moments where his character would be held in check and he would actually have a consequence for his actions - but alas that won't be the case.

Just think if Trump hadnt been reelected - this actually might be one of those moments where his character would be held in check and he would actually have a consequence for his actions - but alas that won't be the case.
