I think we all need to agree to disagree, something that most people on here are incapable of, instead they stalk the posts of those they disagree with a couple of opinions to post that the disagree with EVERY opinion and to post negative lies about them, trying to make every one else hate them too.

One of the many costs of being in the business on both sides is having your time wasted, so to attempt to nullify that, some providers charge deposits so they can at least get something if they get NCNSed. But, there are also providers who charge deposits that scam guys and those providers NCNS. Yes, even the ones with previous fine reputations (Star Holloway), so you can never predict when that day will come, it may start today even.

The guys cannot charge deposits to hope they do not get their time wasted, so the only thing a hobbyist can do is to move on from providers that do charge them. So, let's agree to disagree. Eventually in the future, someone else will make another "deposits" thread and we play high school drama some more.

This is what works for me in regards to a deposit.
If you no show me once. Then you pay a deposit of half my rate. Balance due at time of date. At that point you forced yourself into the deposit.

Being an independent contractor means you have to pay for your own health insurance. Same with savings accounts and retirement accounts. This is not a gendered issue; it's a grown-adult issue. Since we're all grown adults, it's something all of us have to consider equally.

This makes sense to me. If a guy fucks up, his hobby life is harder.

Customers are flaky. That happens. Guys in the hobby hate deposits, and guys have lots of options in dfw. Sugar babies don't require deposits. If you have to choose between sending a deposit or seeing a long term sugar baby, the choice is easy. I'd say it would be a better idea to reduce barriers to customer,well, entry, sorta speak. But the ladies know their business better than I do. This is just feedback from people who are the target market.

To the op, there are LOTS of options that don't require deposits. It's not standard. I think ladies and guys disagree about whether it SHOULD be standard, but it's not a standard thing in the market because guys hate it and guys have options that don't require it.

You are running into ladies requesting cashapps only because there's a whole generation of young people who have never used cash before. You don't have to obey them.

This is under the same umbrella as making someone angry so they will get visably upset, its more common than you think.
