I do thank you for participating in an objective way. Your poll has an even split on immigration-50/50. That is neither approve nor disapprove, right? On Overall approval he's 10 points underwater and 16 points down on the economy he was going to fix on "day one". Am I misstating anything there? And the tariff effects haven't even really kicked in.



I don't have semen demons running around so I don't know the trends, but I bet getting that Halloween costume the kids want this year will be a lot more challenging. And Christmas isn't far behind.


Also of note, that poll was conducted before the LA raids and the ensuing deployment of the guard and active duty. Care to predict how the next results will look? Maybe Saturday's events would be a clue...

It depends on the messaging.

The Trump Administration will be saying that they are rounding up criminal aliens and making the Country safer while opening up job opportunities for Citizens.

The Democrats will counter by saying nobody will be left to mow our lawns, pick our crops, build our houses, fix our roads, do all of those things Citizens refuse to do.

It all comes down to what the Voters really want.

I think maybe the polling trends are based on what Trump does, doesn’t do, pull out of and threaten … in other words what he does, not how they spin it.

If he didnt act like an asshole, people wouldn’t assume he was one. People can’t believe anything he says because they know he doesn’t tell the truth.

Maybe if he did his job without being an asshole, he wouldn’t need to spin so hard.

They have been saying the are rounding up the criminal aliens, and that's something that has support regardless of party. The facts bear out that (roughly) 90% of those he's rounding up have no criminal conviction. If the objective is to deport criminals, is a 90% losing rate acceptable? What if it was a coach...would winning 1 of 10 games keep your job?


Nobody wants violent criminals and gangs here. The Republican spewing that Dems support criminals is simply not born out by evidence. Just like Trump's allegations that countries dumped their murders, insane and such here is. It's hate filled world salad that feeds Trumps mindless followers - let me be clear, that's not aimed at anyone here, but there is a very real portion of his base that has just quit thinking and anything and everything he says is truth.



His economic policies have no hope of success. It's as if he's thinking is stuck in the 60s...and the effects are going to hit soon. I personally made a non-trivial purchase online, let's call it 2k. I was notified to cancel the order because of the lack of cargo vessels moving and they couldn't project when I might receive the items. And before anyone screams just buy American made...I'll be happy too do so, just reach out for my Venmo and send me the extra 4k it would cost to buy American...and that's despite the tariffs.


But not to derail, his numbers are steadily slipping. And with the things he's put in place there's simply no way for him to quickly reverse the slide. He's got the worst approval rating of ANY president at this point...and his numbers are going to only go down.

I remember prior to the 2024 election a poll by a reputable company a had Harris over Trump by something like 8 points in Iowa. I immediately discarded the poll since it was an outlier from all other Iowa polls. Point is look at the average of ALL polls and you MIGHT get an understanding of how things really are.

Real Clear Politics and 538 average all the polls and RCP currently has Trump down 5.1 points. I am not surprised at all. The only issue where Trump is positive is on immigration. And as of yet the negative impact of the tariffs has not happened, but it will.

But as I keep reminding others, the only opinion poll that counts is at the ballot box.
