It will be hard. But momentum is picking up fast. Soon it will pass a point of no return. And the BBB is helping massively, through things like KILLING government tax breaks and subsidies for alternative energy and electric vehicles. It was the biggest gift we could have given to China. Other countries will benefit too.

We will soon be "also rans" in alternative energy, including battery technology. All while we continue to subsidize and promote the fossil fuel industry.

Trump has imposed sweeping duties of 10% on all imports, plus 50% levies on steel and aluminium, 30% on goods from China, and 25% on imported cars. Just last week, the president threatened to hit the European Union with a new 30% tariff starting 1 August.

Very astute, nicely said. It is not the only opportunity he has wasted. DOGE could have done good work. And Musk could have influenced government policy in positive ways on things like AI and energy instead of spreading lies about Social Security fraud. But there is a reason why surgeons use scalpels instead of chainsaws.
