Mokoa I just bought the remastered DVD's of the Three Musketeers version you listed. It's great, outlandishly fun and bawdy!

Other great films include The Third Man, The Lady from Shanghai and The Magnificent Ambersons. All Orson Wells films.

But dont forget some of the fantastic foreign films like Das Boot, Metropolis, Mephisto, The Hidden Fortress (star wars was based upon that one) and The Seven Ronin which Hollywood stole and remade into The Magnificent Seven.

Vanishing Point, Easy Rider, The Original True Grit with John Wayne, Kim Darby, and Glen Campbell. I also like those old movies from the late 40's early 50's such as the Francis the Talking Mule series, Topper, and the Old Dagwood and Blondie flicks with Arthur Lake.

All of those you mentioned above are great flicks. BTW I am impressed you were aware of the Thin Man movies. They are quite obscure now.
Here's a little test for everyone. As far as I know only one movie every made has this much talent in it and could have only been made under the old studio system. No one could ever afford to hire this many A list actors again.

@ Rakhir...William Powell and Myrna Loy were great together..excellent chemistry and comedic timing! I think I need to add more true old classics to my list as I think I concentrated too much on the 50's, 60's and 70's...

And great trivia question...I was thinking something along the lines of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.." or a disaster flick of the 70's...:-)
