Well we have completely transformed into a good offense and a weak defense due to so many injuries.
Mason played great again against Seattle! Where TF has that been?? I’m not a Tomlin fan but I don’t agree with the people blaming him for not starting Mason earlier.
This is the same guy who couldn’t beat out Duck Hodges! Crazy.

... Hmmm... Not quite seeing it that-way, Char.

Tomlin IS at fault... They PRACTICE, ya know... Even the
quarterbacks do... WHY Tomlin and Canada and whomever else
- DIDN'T KNOW ALREADY - or have any great urgency to find out
IF Mason was the BEST of the lot - is quite frankly - HORRIBLE!

The stayed with Pickett WAAAAAAAY too long. ... and then shit inside
their-own bed by (listening to us) and then playing Mitch.

And NOW - their-own STUPIDITY - and Tomlin's comfort level
surely may've cost them a chance at the play-offs.

... Steelers "fans" have reason to be rather blue and cross about this.
Just sayin'

The way I see it: Mason actually poses a deep passing threat, and defenses must respect that. With Kenny, there's no threat, so defenses can overload the box and collapse the offensive line ad nauseum.

This would explain how an o-line, who looked like garbage with Kenny behind center, suddenly looks like a bunch of world beaters. Everything affects everything else. Better QB play means better play all around.

I can’t believe I’m debating on Tomlins behalf but just don’t agree.
Kenny looked unbelievable in preseason. All of Steeler Nation was pumped before this season started. Kenny is also just in his first year of full time starting so we have to see what we got before we give up on him. We go 7-4 and very much in the hunt….but winning ugly.
He gets hurt.
NOBODY was clamoring for Mason, the Steeler organization obviously remembers every horrible snap Mason has taken previously. What was good? The entire league had a chance to take him and he got zero interest so he signs back with us before the season.
The two losses to 2-10 teams was our undoing and I guess we can say Tomlin should have pulled Mitch earlier but I go back to what I said prior, which is Mason has always sucked…..until these last 2 games. Hope it lasts.

It's also a matter of perspective. Mason looked like trash compared to Ben, but he's most likely the best QB on the current roster. In 6 of his 12 career starts, he's thrown for multiple TDs. Kenny's only done that once in 24 starts.

Tomlin wanted Trubisky, resigned him, didn’t want to admit his poor decision to extend him.

What if Mason would have played once Pickett was injured. Maybe so many defensive players would not have been injured due to such a bad offense and team depending on defense to win the games, who knows.

Playing Duck over Mason was like some of his poor drafting decisions.

... Too right, Chase... I can understand what Tommy and Char
are saying, but it's hard to hide the FACT that Mason has
played very well the last two games. --- OR -- the fellow
on now as "offence co-ordinatour" somehow has "found Jesus"
and has surely decided to THROW LONG PASSES.

I still blame Tomlin for the whole mess. When you tell a young QB from the beginning to not make mistakes and just keep the game close you get timid play. That's what happened to Rudolph, when he came in they didn't let him be the player he could be. Than they said it was an open competition to start but everything was decided beforehand. Tomlin will rarely, if ever, admit a mistake so he had his #1,2 and 3 QB's and stuck with it. He was finally forced to play Rudolph because his job with the Steelers was probably in jeopardy. Rudolph is playing looser now because he has nothing to loose.

.... Another WIN for Mason! .... Didn't I tell you mates
awhile back that he should be the starter?? ... No?
(I don't remember doing that, either )

... Glad to see the lads do well enough to give us a chance.
Need some help on Sunday. ...

Dozens of Steelers fans in attendance for Jags/Titans today. Lolol. That's great.

Well, I hope we got this QB situation finally ironed out. In short: keep Mason and look to free agency or the draft for his competition next season. Trade Kenny asap.

But don't take my word for it...

Trevor Lawerence lost to the lowly Titans today. Should Jacksonville release him like some want done here with Pickett.
If Jacksonville releases Trevor should the Steelers try to sign him.

Is it a possibility for Jacksonville and the Steelers, it’s the team as a whole not the QB for losing.

On another matter. It’s a full fledged shame if Watt can’t play in the playoff game, damn!

Getting ready of Kenny seems to be settled science, at this point. Not even a question, in my book. Trade Kenny, keep Mason, get a veteran through free agency. Draft offensive line.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to regress back to Kenny when the proof is so obviously in the pudding.

Tomlin has no choice but to start Mason in a playoff game nobody saw coming. And without Watt. Shame.
Who would have thought Mason Rudolf, of all freaking people, would save the Steelers season.

Yeah, Watt being out is a gigantic loss. On the plus side, Minkah Fitzpatrick will be back.

... Agreed on all that, mate.
Let's just send our lads to Buffalo and WIN!
