DF - thank You for some interesting atricles on tanks and Turkey.

it is an age old arms race - make a better bow and arrow - someone makes a better shield.

9500- If your point is -"remove nukes from Turkey" - i am inclined to agree - in a situation like that - where nukes could be seized by Turkey or armed insurgents - better to get nukes out. we need not proliferation of nukes in the ahnds of to- be terroists.

Read some Tom clancy if u want a preview.

So - 9500- why not just post your point - get Nukes out of turkey - rather than foolish, bandwidth wasting, irrelevant memes that only serve to detract from your message and credibility?????

Since i am on "Ignore" for 9500- to deflect a POV 9500 cannot deal with_ i ask a poster to "Quote" me so 9500 may be informed.

Thank You all!

very interesting. no suspension/expulsion article in the NATO treaty. I did not know that.

from what I gather, all that is needed is simply to disassociate from the recalitrant offender who doesn't share western values.
It's either Europe or the "Middle East". Turkey is technically Europe. Who gets our muscle?

Little, little shit.

Why Are U.S. Nuclear Bombs Still in Turkey?

The American relationship with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Turkey has been fraught for half a decade, but never this bad. Last week, American troops were intentionally targeted by Turkish artillery units in Northern Syria as Erdoğan’s forces advanced and President Donald Trump ordered the U.S. into a unilateral withdrawal. The Pentagon sternly warned that Turkey’s troops would face “immediate defensive action” from American forces if such an encounter were to be repeated.

good question, why indeed are they still there...
. . . to this in 12 minutes. How did you connect the dots?

I do agree we should have them removed from Turkey. But your strategy is very Trumptardesque.

Technically only 5% of Turkey is in Europe. The other 95% is in Asia(and the section of Asia generally referred to as the "Middle East").

Canada approves sale of drone optics to Turkey despite arms embargo

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/c...e-arms-embargo

Quote:
Turkish officials still do not know why Canada extended its ban on arms sales to Turkey in April while removing a similar ban on Saudi Arabia - which intends to sign a multibillion-dollar arms deal with Ottowa. Canadian officials declined to provide a reason to MEE.

However, officials continue to be concerned about the other Canadian military items and training needed by the Turkish military that have also been suspended.

I didn't connect any dots. there was nuthing there for me to "connect" to.

I had the links in the articles in queue since october 2019. never got around to posting it until now. Turkey was the trigger and I went "boom".
