Lucy, I just started snowboarding this past winter, and I'm 26.
Maybe it's easier to learn the younger you are sure, (my boys also started this year ages 5 & 8 they both caught on so fast!), but it can be done.
Just be prepared to fall A LOT and be very very sore for like a week after. But once you get the hang of it totally worth it!
Aside from snowboarding I love... My kids (Duh- I know lol), being a mom, music, art, history (Yeah I'm a dork...), laughing, video games (mostly cod), reading, beaches, and margaritas

I am a bit of a random hacker now a days...I wish I went enough lately to have a handicap 
I tend to shoot low 80's, I shot 79 once that was a lot of practice and a small course LOL
I NEED a new driver, I find my strength in a laid back swing nothing fancy except maybe the hips I know boring lol I just like whacking a few balls and a long walk! I grew up with golf so it gives me the warm fuzzies

I started boarding when I was 18..I think it is fear that will make things more difficult then age...nothing better then some snow on your face and standing at the top of a mountain!
Big fan of margaritas, beaches and laughing too!!

and i do love snowmobiling in the winter... as well as jim beam..and jack and red wine..
then water in the morning..that 1st cup of coffee in the morning is the best..
