I would call it professionalism, self confidence, and a healthy disregard for the hypocrisy and misogyny of some clients. You're thinking that I'm supposed to be emotional about my clients and what they say or think of me. If that were reality, none of us would last a week. You have no idea how rude a lot of you guys are without even meaning to be. If I got offended every time some gent opened his mouth and inserted his foot without even realizing he did, you would see a ton of alerts on how crazy I am for going off on the poor guy for "no reason." As long as they are pleasant and polite enough, the vocabulary doesn't matter much. We learn very quickly to let it roll off our backs and try to see the intent behind whatever is said, as opposed to the words. As you just said to Muse, we all have our own ideas about each word. Why do I have to assume he means anything bad about the word "whore" just because you do?
You don't seem to have a good grasp on just how thick the skin of a provider needs to be. Yes, it would be lovely if we could just correct insulting comments and demand no one ever say anything rude to us. But then we'd be left with no clients. I guarantee you, every guy here has said something SUPER mean to a provider and never even realized it, because she did her job and still showed you a good time and never made an issue out of it. I'm not saying this happens every once in a while. I'm saying it happens CONSTANTLY. Sometimes three or four times in a single appointment. We know when you mean to be an asshole, and when you just didn't think it through.
Stop being all high and mighty. And accusing me of only caring about your wallet was a cute way to try and put me in my place. Should I go off on you for insulting me now? Just making a point.

And, from my mother and countless others, "Actions speak larger than words." In other words, see how I treat you and that will tell the tale. And invariably I will treat you like a lady, which is a word that seems to be forgotten in this discussion.
