Many of the men who attend are UTR and some don't share their handles or anything, they merely attend and check out the "scene" and prefer to remain more or less as an observer unless they met a provider they found interesting to make a date with.

Socials are the exact opposite of exercising discretion. Why give mongers and hoogers any more leverage than they need to have regarding your RW identity? Limit exposure to required screening of the hoogers you most want to fuck.

No doubt a few who attend are attractive but from what I've seen in board responses the vast majority of hoogers attending are simply nice people who I would never date let alone hire.

Loose lips run rampant in the hobby and some use that info for their own gain. This applies to both mongers and hoogers.
Info = leverage = power. Why give it up for free?

I can see why providers like socials but too many mongers assume everyone else has the best of intentions. Many years reading the forums has shown otherwise.

This is simply my opinion and I don't expect others to agree with it.

But sometimes the civvies & servers are in the private room or pass through sometimes.
But since we get name tags, it does help set us aside.

That makes sense, I guess I could see how some may feel that way and that those things do indeed happen. I often forget about the dark, malicious side of the hobby as I've been very lucky thus far and have avoided any serious RW issues and unsavory characters in the hobby. Well, with the exception of the PM experience this year. That certainly was a big learning experience.

Go, don't go, this is ones choice and many have been going to ck' socials without any issues. I like them and appreciate what ck does, there is no shame for me and I'm not worried that some mongers know who I am. I chose my friends in person instead of from behind a monitor. I have a few long time genuine hobby friends and socials give our community a way to become closer.

I'm excited to go to the next social and meeting a few ladies I have not yet been able to"meet" hint hint.
