An oversimplification. Sure, we have loosened up with some things, arguably overall. But we have also tightened up with others. If we had "loosened up" and accepted such childishness, we would be seeing it more often. "The proof is in the pudding." The fact that no one can pull up a similar example happening even in the past 100 years (it should probably be way more recent, like 20-40), proves pretty conclusively that we haven't "loosened up" a lot on this since Lincolns days.
Obviously, you don't see what I am doing. I was using a typical rhetorical tool known as "reductio ad absurdum." I choose something so ridiculous that I knew no one would agree with and then just applied his logic to it, to show you how terrible the logic actually is. It had nothing to do with trying to paint Trump as a racist. He does a plenty good job of that himself. He doesn't need my help.
And yet, in that 7 years, he hasn't done anything even remotely as childish as bragging about penis size in public for no good reason.
When it comes to absurdities, no one is more absurd than a dim-retard minion such as yourself. The hypocrisy of your mock outrage is evident in the fact that while you superciliously castigate Trump, you willingly support Slick Willie the Perjuring Sexual Predator's chief enabler on a daily basis. Hence, Slick Willie the Perjuring Sexual Predator's Slick Willie has once again become the subject of daily conversation, and Slick Willie the Perjuring Sexual Predator's physical acts supersede in seriousness any innuendo made by Trump.

It's amazing that this tool keeps stepping up to the guilotine.:giljoti ini:
Assup called me out by name? I don't pay any attention to him but if he wants beat down.... Trump and Rubio are late to the genitalia political game. Hillary has been putting her genitals on the campaign trail since day one (thank god she never went into detail). It takes a particularly bent person like assup to appreciate Hillary's genitals. I hope this is the last time her genitals are mentioned.

You need to try harder. You haven't refuted anything. You claimed IB's similar example is invalid because it goes back 150 years. That just makes it MORE valid - the further back you go, the more such statements were considered taboo. Or do you think people in Abe Lincoln's era were more licentious than today? And boasting about one's penis size is as old as Adam and Eve. We see it all the time - this board abounds with hundreds of such posts. While I don't find it endearing when a Presidential candidate does it, it doesn't offend me nearly as much as discovering that a sitting President is a serial sexual predator!

Your denial of any intent to “paint Trump as a racist” is belied by your saying he already is one.

Evidently your definition of “childish” is extremely narrow and selective.

Again, oversimplification. Everything didn't follow this simple forward line towards us being more more loose about all speech. How do you feel about PC statements? Things that would have been totally acceptable to say 100 years ago are absolutely frowned on now. Yes, we are more "loose" when it comes to some things, less when it comes to others. You are, incorrectly, taking the fact that we, overall, have become more loose in speech with the belief that we have only gotten more loose with speech about everything.
It was a completely different time. The comparison is weak without further support. Every time you avoid finding a more relevant example and instead focus on trying to make the comparison valid, you further show how weak the comparison is.

In some ways, yes, in others, no. In more ways? Probably.

It's still childish here. If you cannot debate without calling other people names, you are acting childish. But do you really think that the speech that happens on a hooker board justifies the same speech in a presidential debate?

I totally agree. Despite IB's insistence otherwise, I never defended Clinton's behavior. But what Clinton did has no bearing on what Trump is doing. "Clinton did it!" is, ironically, exactly what you are complaining about Obama doing when he allegedly blames Bush.

Vague references to Obama being childish don't really prove your point. We can clearly point to Trump acting like a child. You, apparently, cannot do so with Obama other than to post "clever" pics you found on the internet.
