One word answer: yes.

$300 is becoming the new norm.

That being said, it's their job to sell their services for as much $$ as they can, and it's our jobs as hobbyists to get as much as we can for as little as possible.

Most of the time, there is little room for negotiation, but it can happen (review specials, grandfathered rates, etc)

I'm like everyone else. When I find something great, I stick with it and that becomes my "norm". The issue is when I want to venture out of my regulars and see someone new and compare them to the stable of hotties I regularly see; if they don't measure up, it was a waste of money and time.

Providers: I for one do not have a problem paying up to $300 for an hour...I've done it many times. I do have a BIG problem, however with dropping that kind of $$ on a new (to me) provider just to have a shitty/forgettable session.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way...so, if you charge top dollar for your services, they need to be worth it.
