It certainly wouldn't surprise me.. I've known SEVERAL other liberals who had That same beleif, that WELFARE should be in the constitution, as a BLOODY RIGHT, but national defense should be stripped out and left up to each STATE to fund..

So Kansas righted the ship of deficits with a TAX INCREASE....I rest my case.

That is a fucking lie and lucky for you , you are on a whore board stating that lie and not face to face. Or you would be stating that lie while knocked on your ass.

I have been saying the same for years. Germany/Japan instead of paying for their fair share of Defense instead put that money in their citizens healthcare which gave their business a competitive advantage.

YOU ARE DOUBLE TALKING....I said we spend to much on Defense defending the entire world. If other nations paid their fair share , we could then take that savings and spend it on healthcare for our own citizens. I mean what fucking good is defending a nation that is chronically sick?

These idiots like lustylad that think Defense spending is not the huge deficit problem are either bald face liars or common idiots. Our Medicare and SS taxes have run a hug budget surplus....In fact if you took those in a separate category , you'd see just how much we spend on Defense....which basically is a job welfare program that results in destruction . We could take that same money and invest in our citizens health. I'm not talking about all of it , we still need money for the Defense of this country but not the defense of Exxon in Iraq or any other country.

maybe or prolly not. I think they wanted to spend more as an excuse to increase taxes instead of cutting.
now its possible that Kansas leges didn't cut in the right places. so don't really know the score there.

And as I said earlier , no. No more than I think the huge military budget is a right.
Fuck, how moronic are you?
Do you want the nation to go broke defending the whole world just so 1% of this country can benefit for that defense. Do you think it right we defend say Exxon's oil interests all over the world and Exxon or all the other multinational corporations get a tax break instead of wtf the should get which is the tax bill for that defense.
The inheritance used to be used to pay down the national debt from wars....this made the very rich insure that we did not go to war willy nilly and concluded it asap without this nation building crap.

Did you just say that?
Do you know how stupid you sound?
Basically Kansas cut taxes...saw a huge deficit increase. Shocker there.
Raised taxes , deficit starts back down. Shocker there.
Do you not understand a fucking thing about the Lauffer Curve?
If the tax rate is already low...cutting taxes further does not increase tax revenue. Just as if they are already too high , raising them will not increase revenue.

Cutting Taxes without cutting spending creates deficits.
Creating deficits is completely opposite of what a conservative government philosophy is.
Republicans are no longer conservative. They are just greedy lobbiest cock holsters.
Now when people talk about trmiming fat around military spending, they are talking about the out of control F35 program. We don't need to close bases or reduce the number of boots, necessarily. We need to look at all those government defense contracts.
Reigning in those would reduce spending significantly without affect troop readiness or safety.

jerkal...no where in the Constitution does it say we can spend unlimited funds on Defense ....especially when much of it goes to defending other nations.
It speaks of defending this nation, not this nations multinational business interests all over the world.
How many times do I have to tell you this?

Kansas' unemployment rate is as low as it can get. If someone in Kansas says they can't find a job, they are disabled, or lying. The one group of people in kansas who are suffering are parasites. That is not necessarily a bad thing.
You are an idiot, and likely a parasite. IJS.
