Maybe this is the person to whom you are referring.

https://www.wpxi.com/news/top-storie...LJXABXXHEP3UI/

A 65-year-old man walked into a west Pennsylvania hospital days after he received the second shot of the Moderna vaccine.

“We believe and the data does support that the benefits of the vaccine far outweighs any of the potential complication,” explained Allegheny Health Network doctor, Robert Kaplan.

Doctors say the man had a history of hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

“This is one case out of more than 200 million and so the number is so low that we as well as the CDC do not believe that this is a real risk,” Dr. Kaplan said.

Four people died due to blood clots caused by the J&J vaccine. Corrections have been made.

There are risks involved with any of the COVID vaccines, or any vaccine for that matter. Weigh the upside vs. the downside of getting the vaccine and make an informed decision.

As a matter of course-- I'll be more concerned about clots when we have cases of folks who don't have ANY risk factors.. who end up with clots. So far-- what I've seen are people who already had an elevated risk.

If you smoke, are obese, have bad lipid panels, or have a family history of clotting diseases/disorders-- I'd definitely avoid the J&J and I would not blame you in the slightest for avoiding the others unless you are under regular medical care for your health issues. However-- bear in mind, that if you are in these risk groups.. your chances of developing clots from COVID itself are also a LOT higher.

I got the shot because my risk factors for clotting are pretty much zero (never smoked, etc). It was an informed choice on my part. I don't seek to force it upon anyone else. Like every other medical choice out there-- it should literally be between the patient and their doctor.

The vaccines can cause blood clots. You don’t have to have a pre existing condition. They can illicit reactions from your body that don’t come naturally. Nobody knows what the long term side effects will be. Nobody. They’re called experimental for a reason.

Yep.. which.. circles right back around to the fact that it should be a personal choice between a person and their healthcare provider.

I have a clotting disorder-- I don't clot properly... the odds of me developing blood clots from the COVID vaxx are so small that there's really no point in even calculating it.

How many lethal cases of thrombosis have been linked to mRNA vaccines? Well, try one. There have been hundreds of millions of doses, hundreds of thousands of lives saved, and only one death has been identified.

Some of the antivaxxers here are like members of cults. They’ve generally got good instincts on economic issues but are loony tunes on this one subject. I’m tired of arguing, taking a break

I have a family member that is very involved in the Republican Party... has been a county chair for RPT for a number of years.

Even they took the vaxx. Their logic? Well-- if the vaccine were that problematic.. they wouldn't be so ardent about hoarding it and instead would "generously share it with less fortunate nations".

The logic isn't that off in my book.

You are incorrect. They are also loony tunes on claims of election fraud.

You do realize that you just described ALL vaccines - not just the mRNA vaccine?

You are without doubt one of the dumbest anti-vax posters on this board. Congratulations.

What is presented is one persons social media post - not a medical case report or CDC report of complication for VAERS.

A clot like that in the aorta - which might appear to include the common carotid arteries (from teh photo) - would be fatal.

Let's see a fatality report from the CDC - and if real - it will occur.

for now - I do not Believe.

LOL... really.. tell me how the annual flu shot works then... Does it use mRNA to instruct the cells to produce antibodies? Or is it a weakened strain of the virus that the bodies natural immune system system react to? (Hint it's the latter).

While you're busy calling people stupid, maybe you should educate yourself a bit.
