Look at the Brits. They hate their far left Labour Party so much the populist Reform party is now the most popular. Pendulum swing.
|
Speaking of Pendulum swing- the party in control right now has the approval ratings with an average disapproval rating of close to 55 percent-
“If Trump’s approval rating’s at like 42 percent, like it is right now, in November of 2026, I mean, that’s not good for the GOP. They will probably lose some seats that we wouldn’t expect them to lose right now,”
https://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...t-second-term/
My thoughts are as Trump does more to line his pockets at the taxpayers expense, or fails to fullfill the promises against inflation - which is now about 3.5% and on the rise- you'll see some real shity outcomes for the GOP. If ppl can't afford increased healthcare premiums, or lose jobs to tariffs, or have groceries that cost WAY more than they did- that will spell a pendulum doom model for them in 2026.
Just as this was a response to TRUMP in Nov 2025, there will be another time when the voices of Americans will be heard in 12 months. BTW- I believe the current predictions of a 3rd impeachment are at about 51% or so last check. FYI.

I mean, I get it. You have zero facts behind your drivel, so right out of the MAGA playbook, you take personal shots at those arguing with you. It's your only chance of avoiding the real issue and changing the subject.
Nothing you've said here (or anywhere else) is rooted in reality. You thought this thread was only about Mamdani, for starters.
This thread is about Mamdani AND trump. Not my bingo card or anything about me. Keep the personal shit out of it. Stay on topic or leave the thread alone.

Sorry dude I’ll stay in the thread as long as I like.
Appreciate the motivation to post even more.

Sadly- most of the posts from a few ppl here are simp and bait for argument sake. There is nothing based in reality - such as Mandami being able to fulfill his campaign promises and leading the city down the road of destruction. Much like Trumps promises for better, cheaper, faster and tax reductions etc. and all. The only thing that wasn't promises by Trump but has been done- is destruction of political processes, guardrails, norms, and acceptable practices where ethics and morals are involved.
That is his legacy.
Mandami's is yet to be seen as he's not even in office yet. But here was are postulating on the outcomes of him being in office. Like all new political fry- he'll find out that the political process is not based on idealism, but what can actually be done.
The MAGA's here just blow a lot of conspiracy steam and baloney based on Nothing burgers. The day that the 47 oversite teams come up with a single conviction vs. just blatherings- I'll take another look.
For right now- it's just about obfuscation of the regime that knows no ethical or professional conduct- just grifting at it's finest. I mean Mandami didn't even get a Cessna vs. that other dude getting a 747. Ya know?

Lifelong liberal Bill Maher giving a reality check for the disaster coming to NYC courtesy of Mamdani and the socialist far left. But you guys will figure it out this time.
https://x.com/VigilantFox/status/198...627291702?s=20
“We’ve run this (socialist) experiment many times, and the results are always obvious,” Maher said.
He looked straight into the camera and delivered a blunt warning about Mamdani.
“Democrats must recognize that Zohran Mamdani is the future of the party. Unfortunately, it’s the Republican Party.”
“Here’s capitalist South Korea at night from space,” Maher presented, showing a country lit up and thriving.
“Here’s socialist North Korea,” he followed, with the map pitch dark.
“Yeah. In 1990, Venezuela was wealthier than Poland. But then Poland, finally free of Soviet style economics, went all in on capitalism and now their economy is as big as Japan and people there have high wages, low inflation, cars, vacations, homes.”
“Meanwhile, Venezuela traded capitalism for Hugo Chavez’s socialism for the 21st century, which turned out to be like socialism in the last century or any century, a f*cking mess.”
“It turned one of Latin America’s richest countries into one of its poorest. Low wages, high inflation, shortages, outages, 8 million people fleeing. If you think New York can somehow reinvent this wheel, you’re in for a rude awakening.”

Do you have any evidence of illegal immigrants receiving health benefits that are available only to US citizens?
Didn't think so.
So why keep repeating the same debunked lie?

I’ll agree not to move to NYC, if you agree TO move to NYC?
Get out of your bubble and practice what you preach.
Deal?

I think think you'd like it there. Add another vote for a Republican next election. It would help, no? Maybe even run for mayor yourself and lead the charge to unseat Mamdani

Expecting a MAGA to ever put their money where their mouth is is an exercise in futility, but it would be nice if they quit simply bitching about everything and actually did something to improve things. Anything.

Free Buses ($700M/year): Diverts funds from MTA repairs, rewards fare evaders, and risks service collapse.
Universal Childcare: Massive cost (~$3–5B/year) with no clear funding; likely to create long waitlists and low-quality care.
City-Run Grocery Stores ($60M pilot): History of government retail failure; expect waste, shortages, and political favoritism.
$10B Tax Hikes on Rich/Corporations: Will drive wealthy residents and businesses to low-tax states (FL, TX), shrinking the tax base and raising burdens on middle class.
Overall Risk: Echoes 1970s NYC fiscal crisis—big spending, fleeing capital, service cuts, and higher taxes for all.

Might want to change your handle to gaslight mountain.
Almost all of your conclusions and suppositions are half baked.
Even the above op-ed is a culling from the New York Post and are simply bullshit. The only thing of vapidity was this
"The plan would “effectively lower tax payments for homeowners in neighborhoods like Jamaica and Brownsville while raising the amount paid in the most expensive Brooklyn brownstones,”
But glad Mamdani is your new boogeyman. Why not focus on the ppl currently in power and abusing it at every chance and day.

Sounds like you have beef with Bill Maher’s opinion.
I’ll let him know for you.

One thing is for sure.
As a self-proclaimed right leaning centrist you wouldn’t vote for Mamdani. lol.

I absolutely wouldn't. Cuomo was the better choice, even though he has no business anywhere near power ever again, even if it was just managing a paperclip order.
But I love how much Mamdani makes some of your squirm
Go and unseat him. I don't plan on moving or voting for you but you'll have my moral support

Your support means a lot to me.
I think you have squirm confused with excitement as potentially the greatest gift conservatives could have ever wished.
What great talking points we are going to see soon enough when Mamdanis policies start to go into effect.
He also a defund the police guy. Gonna work out great!

MAGA can be forgiven for thinking Mamdani is now God Emporer For Life of NYC, because that's what they think trump is for the USA.
But, here in the real world, Mamdani still needs the support of lawmakers and Albany to implement all these spooky policies that make Republicans shit their britches. He can't do it by Sharia Law, just like trump can't do it with Executive Orders.
If MAGA has proven anything over the past decade, it's that they have no fucking clue how government actually works.
