Tiger....to my knowledge, we have never recieved and RTM from a provider about a lady advertising in FW but not providing there. Only from gentlemen. So the assertion that they "get pissed" seems a little off.

And that is an anomoly. Providers largely self-RTM the ad forums, especially with ladies that they don't like or feel are competition. If someone they dislike posts too late, or double posts, or violates a rule that the RTM provider has been popped for...you can bet the RTM will happen.

@TinMan: Over 25% of the posts in the short notice thread violated either the rules of the thread or the advertisng guidelines. Each one recived a warning, then points if repeated, and each was publicly edited to demonstrate/educate. The repeat workload was why it was shut down. No amount of points or directions or rules was going to make it work, because some couldn't abide.

Still...the point is that the FW forum needs more accurate geo-location, and the best solution we have is to correct those that don't serve the area. We aren't going to shut down the whole ad forum that I'm aware of, so the RTM is the best solution we have.

Thanks for the insight, Duke. I obviously thought differently, and was in error. In some sense what you experienced is counter-intuitive, but I guess it's another case of what looks good in theory doesn't always work in practice.

I'm hoping one day ownership can invest in some upgrades that might improve the situation as it relates to geo-location.

Duke,

Interesting insight on RTM of ads. I have always heard, and assumed that some woman did a good job of policing the ads and alerting you to the issues they find. I guess crossing into other forums is not an issue for the ladies.

In any event, I don't mind a lady trying to market herself. Just don't tease me with an ad if you are not ready, willing, and able to back it up with your presence.

If only the initial reply had acknowledged what Duke stated, that in fact it can be enforced as opposed to "What do you want moderators to do, moderate?"

It did, but my guess is that it didn't perfectly meet your criteria on how it should be handled? Not trying to flame your answer, just taking a guess. I will repeat this again: everyone will have a different perspective. Trying to find a consensus here is a lot of energy being wasted.

On top of that, the reported ad was investigated and found to be in compliance.

Interesting.

I reported an ad yesterday, and then sent a PM to the lady asking about a meeting in FW. No reply, but I do see that she no longer has an ad in FW.

Good job MODs.

Being a FTW guy I've commented on this issue before and would love to see a resolution. The mods and users are smart people and will figure it out but it is frustrating. Not rehashing all that's been said already but the suggestion of less forums, one place to post ads is exactly the wrong approach. I think the current ad board, split as it is, should be for incall only. Then add a forum for those providers wishing to provide outcall. More work, yes, but also double the ads for them. Note to Elizabeth, nobody wants to keep the ladies from making a living by punishing the breaking of rules but read the comments again and you'll read a few, and that would include me, that no longer read ads because of their diminishing value. That will not put $$ in your pocket!

Just out of curiosity (and maybe of interest to providers and the staff): those of you who say you no longer peruse the ads, how do you find providers you want to see? Do you perform a search (I've tried searching under "fort worth"...not much better than just clicking on the ads)? Do you go down the list of reviews one by one until you find a review of someone with an incall in your area? Another method, perhaps?

This might be a good topic to take to another thread, as it wouldn't pertain just to Ft Worth, but to pretty much anyone outside the North Dallas area.

Good question, TinMan.

I'm only peripherally involved in the hunt these days, having settled on an ATF, and a few others others whom I'd like to see when the ATF isn't available but funds are.

But before all that was settled, I'd routinely hit the BP bodyrub ads, looking for key words in the location parentheses that would indicate availability in my area of town. When I found one an ad that was geographically compatible and with a photo that didn't cause any alarms to go off in my head, I'd come hear and check for any reviews. I stay away from the BP escort ads because 1) I can usually find someone who provides the type of service I'm seeking in the bodyrub section, 2) the escort section is populated largely by women whom I don't think I'd care to see, and 3) there are fewer ads in the BR section and thus less flotsam.

Other methods include checking the P411 ads for interesting-looking faces and bodies (pretty rare), then checking back here to get ideas on both geographic proximity and service quality; searching the review forums for "Bowie" and "Hulen"; and desperately clicking on review links on the (my guess is) 5% chance that it'll be a review of someone who's in Fort Worth and somewhere near me.

The Fort Worth ads section here is a time-killer for me, not a primary source of information.

I usually avoid the Ft Worth Ad section as well. I primarily use BP & cross-check with Eccie reviews when I find someone interesting. I also peruse the reviews here & look for the (817) area codes in the review previews. Sounds tedious but it's still easier and usually less frustrating than weeding through the FW ads here...
