Is it really your assertion that providers who have never scheduled an appointment with someone have proprietary rights to future appointments booked by said someone, based solely upon the exchange of screening info? I don't treat providers like my personal property, and I'm offended by the concept that providers would do so.

When half of the providers on ECCIE ask that you provide screening info, refs, a physical description, and the date and length of appointment desired, I don't see how providing screening info in the initial contact is unwarranted. Half of you ladies won't even respond unless such info is provided. You girls need to get together and decide what the rules are.

So if I'm looking for a date and send you screening info or attempt to book you, I should consider myself to be blocked from looking for someone else until you get around to responding yes or no?

Hell, I don't even give that level of exclusivity to a doctor, a lawyer, or a service like lawn mowing or home repair.

Nothing is locked down until a firm appointment is made. Even then, you should accept cancellations as long as they're a day or so ahead of time. God knows a lot of the ladies cancel at the drop of a hat.

Some ladies do like a guy to screen ahead of time so there's no rush when the guy is ready.

Maybe you should make a note on your ads to not screen with you unless the guy plans to make an immediate appointment.

Screening is a pain. No guy is going to bother to screen with you if he's not seriously considering booking with you.

Personally, I usually book appointments not far in advance, so I'll sometimes screen ahead of time. Or I'll try to book and screen and the lady may not respond within my time window of availability.

What are you talking about???? I said providers are you personal property????Hold it partner please re-read what I posted. I didnt see anywhere in you 20 + solo comments that you say you sent her pre- screening information you said you posted and iso, she contacted you and you sent her your screening information you never mentioned "pre-screen" me. I have never had a gentlemen send me his screening info and not book with me.

Stay with me here, Brittany. What I'm saying is that screening with a provider is not a exclusive agreement to see only that provider. Do you enter into exclusive agreements to see only one hobbyist? I never said that I wouldn't *ever* book with someone I've screened with, but a date or two might happen between the screening and the actual date. That's "what I'm talking about". I was making the point that I felt as though I was being treated as property, not the other way around.

The point that's attempting to be made here, Brittany, despite concerted efforts to misunderstand it, is that providers don't have a consistent standard as to what info they require in an initial contact. A hobbyist making date requests must play to the highest common denominator, rather than risk being ignored by a provider that requires more information than is being provided. How is the hobbyist contacting you supposed to know what the previous 100 people did?

Brittany, a few names down the list from yours, there's a provider who won't respond to a message unless you provide refs, age, weight, race, phone number, and date and length of appointment desired. Are we as hobbyists to read the mind of every provider we contact? It's more efficient to provide all the info upfront.

My apologies but I'm a little confused as to what you're talking about here. I'm not sure where in my posting I said that sending your screening information means your blocked from seeing other providers til I answer. I dont cancel appoinments nor do I book far in advance due to a chance of being cancelled on. If im on eccie and posting im available. I was just simply asking a question as to why someone would send screening information if you didn't plan on meeting. As the poster mentioned he had posted and Iso which typically means that you're looking for an appointment now or within a specified amount of time therefore I'm not sure why pre screening would have been a requirement. I would say 95 percent of my appointments book the same day and I very seldom get inquires to book in advance... look at the numerous threads about then men here wanting a daily availability thread a huge number cant book in advance. My intentions were not to start a heated debate, i simply was asking a question as to why somebody would send out screening information if they werent planning on booking.

Again just my 2 cents typically when a provider requires that you include your references your age or weight, race, phone number, appointment date...blah blah it's typically to weed out time wasters and people who aren't serious about booking an appointment. if you only knew the numerous emails that providers get on a daily basis you to would like to have some way of weeding out those that aren't serious about spending time with you.

So we're just magically supposed to read your minds as providers, and know when you'll get back to us? Even with all that info provided, a third of providers still don't get back to you. Another third contact you 2 days after you requested the appointment.

Sweetie this frankly has nothing to do with your intial post. This is actually a whole different subject as this deals with each individual providers way of conducting business. Every provider conducts business however they see fit that's up to you to thoroughly search each provider that you want to spend time with.
