OOOOOF
The collapse has just ratcheted up.
Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB-InBev) will be selling eight craft beer brands to Tilray Brands, according to a Monday announcement from the anti-American beer giant. The move will cut AB-InBev’s craft beer portfolio significantly.
Tilray, a Canadian ***** company, will be purchasing Shock Top, Breckenridge Brewery, Blue Point Brewing Company, 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Redhook Brewery, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Square Mile Cider Company and Hiball Energy. The deal is expected to be finalized in Sept. 2023 for $85 million, according to a Tilray 8-K filing.
In addition to the beer brands, Anheuser-Busch will also be selling off the brands’ employees, breweries and associated brewpubs.

Jesus, Berry. They've already been doing this with other craft brews throughout the year as they've been following the Coke strategy of eliminating or divesting non-core portfolio and focusing on its mega brands.
They were actively cutting non-beer products in May and June and finalized some non-core craft beer sales in July and now Aug.
This is part of the pivot I mentioned a couple dozen pages ago

No end to the destruction at Tranheuser Busch
"Bud Light weekly volumes were down -29%, with sales down 26% (average over the last three months c.25%)... There continues to be contagion to the wider ABInBev portfolio, with Budweiser, Busch, and Michelob still weak" - Citi

That's basically a stabilization. You're counting it as a loss year of year but it's about par with the typical week to week.

... Bud Light was American's best selling beer

According to Joe, Salty...

Except "everybody" is hyperbole. It's a minority, likely around 25% including the folks who were put off by the response to the boycott and Mericans who "love" America so much they helped make Mexican beer America's #1 beer
Also, the Trumps are still pro-Bud Light. And Kid Rock is still making money selling Bud Light, and still a clown.

It is indeed Salty
Now we have Anheuser-Busch Heir Billy Busch torching the woke corporate management:
"The last thing they want to have on their beer cans is that kind of message that Bud Light just came out with... Your core drinker is not like that."
Guess the leftist tranny lovers won't like that

And yet polling shows that out of 170,000 drinkers, Bud Light still has a majority favorable rating.
Only 20% had a negative impression
That means pretending that "core drinkers" are put off by any of this is hyperbole.
Unlike our heavily split politics, most Bud Light drinkers, by a heavy margin, still drink Bud Light.
Pretending otherwise is gaslighting.
I know it hurts some to admit, but Bud Light really is just as if not more popular in the U.S. than Biden and Trump COMBINED. Most simply do not care. They keep on buying to the tune of tens of millions of dollars in sales every month.
They lost less than 30% of US sales and still turned a profit. Still had positive earnings. Still have positive net favorability. And still sell a metric fuck ton of beer here.
They've been woke and they ain't anywhere near broke.
Let that sink in

... Too right, mate!
... I'll toast you with a cold one - that's NOT Bud Light!
... Surely tastes like Freedom also!
... Who here ever said that they expected the company to go broke??
... What we said was that the company would feel the pain
of people "voting with their feet" and choosing another beer.
And lo and beholde - Bud Light is no longer #1...

Exactly Salty, exactly.
And we were told by the ill informed leftists that this would all blow over quickly. How wrong they were

Members of the media told you it would blow over quickly. I doubt you actually spoke to any so called leftists on the subject. My Bud Light was refreshing as always.
The 'Easy to Summer' ad campaign comes as football season is kicking off. We will see as fall approaches if a rebound comes. Only have 1Q of sales data since Kid Rock wasted good beer by going Rambo on it lol...
