LOGAN WAS outstanding and a fitting end to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
the action was also incredible and brutal and the r rating allowed hugh jackman and patrick stewart to let loose and not be restrained by a pg -13 rating, some of the rawest and best performances in the xmen series. Definitly the best woverine standalone film. Even newcomer Dafne Keen was amazing and not obnoxious.

Saw Kong Skull Island over the weekend. Actually was better then I was expecting. Some nice one liners...lol. Was the only Kong movie where beauty didn't kill the beast .

I thought Kong was ok - good action - but a bit overhyped - did you sit through the credits and see the sequel teaser??

Dammit, I missed that! Sat around waiting for one with Wolvie that never appeared.

"Logan" was excellent, indeed, as cr76 said a memorable RIP to Jackman's and Stewart's X portrayals.

I'm a big King Kong fan from way back, and while the new flick was decent and worth the price of admission, it could have stood another 10-15 minutes of plot exposition and character fleshing. Clocked in at just under 2 hours, which is supposedly the magic number for studio profit with frequent showings, but a wee bit longer would have resulted in a more rounded movie better connecting the audience to the story. I believe a lot was left on the editing room floor.

Think of "Kong: Skull Island" as "Apocalypse Now vs. Kaiju Monsters," big special effects, maximum action, minimum empathetic pathos.

And damn it, I wanted a Tom Hiddleston shirtless scene!

Not yet! Was on my list but it vanished like a ghost, even with Redbox, so thinking the movie had severe flaws. Waiting for Netflix or the bargain basement bin at Wal*Mart.

I know Hiddleston gets nekkid or near. We all have our fantasy f**ks.

Still need to see Get out and the belko exp. but those can wait.

Arrival - terrible confusing and too long, dissappionted
Dr Strange - pretty good fantasy, not great, lots of cgi effects
Hacksaw Ridge - true story, just ok, war scenes bloody as hell
Passengers - damn good, Jennifer looks good, the conundrum presented appears plausible with software glitches that do occur
Gold - true story, long not bad, not that good
Bad Santa 2 - funny as hell, enjoyed it
Why Him - funny as hell again, enjoyed it a lot
The 24 Hour War - Documentary of Ford's fight with Ferarri in the 60's 24 Hr LeMons, good if you like racing

Passenger I found to be a remake of wall- e and not nearly as good - also they kind of glossed over what Chris Pratt did

Anybody headed to the "Life" premiere tonight, sci fi flick with Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal? Looks creepily good. "CHiPs," the comedy remake of the 1977-83 cop show, is out this eve, too.

"Beauty and the Beast" broke box office records, so will be around a while. "Split" is still playing, M. Night Shyamalan's "comeback" psycho multi-personality movie with James McAvoy. I want to see that, but the theme's evidently so dark nobody will go with me!

Movie dates offered, by the way, with popcorn, soda pop, and BCD time to "pop" after. Going to see B&B on a "Chick & a Flick" this weekend. Seems real men DO like quiche, and lighthearted musicals.

No but wished I did. Just watched Logan and was a little disappointed as no teaser after credits.

free fire was a lit down - its got some wit, but the films gets boring after a while.

90 minutes of people shooting at each other in a small space .

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - Good, great CGI, never saw any Potter movies, but liked this one for the abstract

The Great Wall - Excellent fantasy movie, unpredictable, great CGI, crazy plot, but really good

Kill Command - Long stupid movie not worth watching, some robots were kool while others were ridiculous.

Kung Fu Yoga - Jackie Chan movie that was not up to par with his other movies, sorry to say recent JC movies are not as good like Skiptrace failed too
