Tookie's closed and was not going to reopen after Hurricane Ike. It was eventually bought by the guy who owns TBone Tom's in Kemah with the promise that he wouldn't change it. In the meantime, some of the employees went on their own and opened Stomp's. That is why it is very similar to Tookie's. Both offer good burgers.

I went and tried stomp. It was like walking into a copy of tookies. It was good but I like tookies better.
