Actually Kat's version/arrangement showed more talent than the Cure musically speaking.... 
Say this based on being in and playing in a group that mainly played Pop, Blues, Jazz, R&B, etc, many moons ago in college.
Never went for that Alice Cooper, Ozzie Osborne genre that Cure is more a part of. Yeah it's popular and sells but I expect a more talented voice singing that Kat Edmonson displays....ijs

I'm a huge Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath fan. Also Dio,Motörhead,Slayer. Love black metal and death metal. Cannibal Corpse, Deicide,Prayer For Cleansing and Cradle Of Filth. Currently listing to a lot of Ghost BC and Killswitch Engage.

My stereo turntable has a 45's adapter so 45's can still be played.....
